Skunk From Scratch is Reefs take on the original Skunk #1. It had no plans of resembling Skunk #1 but is Charles spin on the breeding trio of:
Acapulco x Colombian x Afghani
This was grown outdoors full term, unprotected until Nov 1st, hot and humid!
These plant grew trouble free, insects did not prefer them: hemp borers, cucumber beetles, grasshoppers, thrips, whiteflies, aphids all stayed off of SFS!
Those were all native pests.
Veg cycle was slow to get started compared to every other type we grew with it. But these are Linebred F7-F9 so I expect slower veg.
Low dose Organic feed was preferred and the leaves clawed at salts when young and in early veg.
Once transplanted into 3gallons they took off and flower production was impressive.
These plants only got about 60 days from seed soak to begin flower.... I probably didn’t mention this in my other strain/grow reviews, ha ha.
**This was a pheno hunt to develop moms for commercial flower production. So massive plants were not necessary.
I could say all kinds of amazing things about this cultivar!!
But you can review the photos and I’ll describe what it smells and tastes like
Smells of sweet creamy carrots and spices. Some phenos have more spice, some sweeter, all a bit carroty. There are some floral notes almost, that I consider super sweetness to the overall profile. And I say floral but it’s faint as Jasmine Tea can be but there’s something in there that just makes it smell fantastic.
There is NO gas/diesel, NO skunkiness, NO fruitiness, NO Cake.
This is unique connoisseur herb.
Smooth when burned, and some phenos are really potent ya gotta watch your level of medication!
Pics DRIED first, then alive finished flower. I’ll share a few veg pics at the bottom.
