Mitä skandinaviaan edes kuuluu? Suomi, norja ja ruotsi...Ulkokasvatuksen kannalta alue on kyllä yhtenäisen vittumainen, mutta kielellisesti...

Vaikka voisihan se olla mukava jos postauksia tulisi sekä ruotsalaisilta että norjalaisilta heimoveljiltä, varsinkin tuon ulkokasvatuksen osalta olisi mielenkiintoista...

Ensin meiltä vietiin maakeskeinen maailmankuva, nyt suomikeskeinen...seuraavaksi varmaan minäkeskeinen

Finland is not a part of scandinavia imo, and OM has some valid points there, we had a shitload of posts in our precious finnish forum, posts are still here but not the same anymore If you people would only come and visit this place you'd know it is not scandinavia, as much of scandinavia here than in Russia get it? We dont call ourself scandinavian, we are finnish and we had to fight for that...anyway, to me this doesnt matter..as long as I can moderate this forum..lmao...

I asked Gypsy to start a Scandinavian forum, he decided to incorporate the Finnish forum in it. I'm Swedish but don't feel the need for a Swedish forum only, I can share it with my Norwegian and Danish brothers. If you feel so particularly non-Scandinavian, then by all means insist on a forum of your own. Perhaps some of the Swedish speaking Finns (10% of the Finnish population after all) would like to join up though...

Itseasiassa täytyy vähän hehkuttaa, olen täällä pyörinyt jo kyllä ennenkuin icmag tuli suomalaisille kuuluisaks... aktiiveja oli ehkä ~15. Ja nyt olen saamassa ensimmäisiä testereitä, niitä kieli pitkänä odottelen. No, kaikkee hyvää kannattaa odottaa ja pitää kait sitä jotain todistaa / osoittaa että pääsee mukaan "sisäpiiriin". Eipä paljoa tule tänne kirjoiteltua, mutta seurailen kuitenkin. Todella outoa, että suomalainen forum sai väistyä ja nyt on joku skandi-sössö tilalla. Ei täällä ole paljoa esim. ruotsalaisia ja norjalaisia näkynyt, mutta nyt kun tämä skandinaavia niputettiin yhteen niin KAIKKIEN pitää (periaatteessa) puhua englantia, eikä kukaan voi enää käyttää äidinkieltään Eli nyt kaikki skandinaavit menettivät sitten foruminsa samalla.

Minä en ainakaan mielelläni sönkkää ruotsia enkä välttämättä edes enkkua. Ihan protestina kirjoitan tämän postauksen jälkeen aina suomeksi. (täällä on muuten ihan oudot hymiöt)

Same briefly in english: I really don´t see the point in integrating all the scandinavian people together. Swedes, danes and norwegians MAY understand each other in swedish, but we finns speak a whole different language, and the closest language-neighbour for us would be the estonians. I think that from scandinavians, the finnish people have posted the most of the topics, and we should have our own forum back. Now the situation is, that no one of us scandinavians can write in their motrher language, in stead we must use english if we want everyone to understand each other. So why the hell should we post here anymore, all the other places are full of english too. This forum´s idea (in my opinion) was that we could use our own language.

I think you got it slightly wrong Stardust. Nobody put up a sign saying ENGLISH ONLY in this forum. All the Finnish threads are still there, you can continue to talk Finnish in them, you can open up new threads in Finnish, the only thing that changed was the name of the forum; SCANDINAVIAN instead of FINNISH. If you take Overgrow as a comparative example, there were no Finnish or Swedish forums, only a European forum (apart from a French and Spanish speaking section, that also included Quebeq French and Hispanic Latin Americans) where all European growers opened up threads in their respective language. It worked fine. You say that Finns have posted more threads than Scandinavians, so therefore what? I think that if you scrutinize the whole of ICmag, you'll find that Swedish, Danish and Norwegian growers and threads outnumber Finnish growers and threads by far, there simply hasn't been a forum to put all those Scandinavian threads in. Personally, I'm not an uptight nationalist so I don't care if there's a forum for Swedes or not. I wanted a Scandinavian forum because of the particular outdoor growing conditions Scandinavian countries presents. If a Norwegian or a Dane drops into a Swedish thread, why would that bother me? It's only fun. Danes have severe difficulties in understanding Swedish and Norwegian (for some reason, I understand Danish without problems) so I suspect that mixed threads would be in English, but that is up to each and everyone. For all you purebred die hard Finns, I suggest you knock on Gypsy's door and and explain to him how you suffer from sharing a forum with Scandinavians. After all, he took the decision to supress the Finns only forum.
