Skunk #1 X NL#5 seeds purchased in June of 1992 from “The Seed Bank” at “The Marijuana Museum” in Amsterdam.
These pics were from my first harvest with the 2 female phenos in November of 1992. I had popped 3 seeds, with one being a male. I ended up keeping the smaller/stronger/skunkier pheno, and would harvest that for the next 10 years, before life/family/kids/smells would force me to kill it off. In that 10 years I would routinely replace the mother with a fresh strong clone, and once had to re-veg a harvested plant due to almost getting wiped out by mold.
Grown in 4 inch Grodan Rockwool, I would eventually put them on top of a rockwool slab cut into 4 pieces. ( did I invent the Uni-slab ? ;)
4 foot shop light for cloning, 250w MH over the mother, eventually replaced with another 4 ft shoplight. Flowered under a 400w HPS .
Used Formula One liquid nutrients, Olivia’s cloning solution.
Still the strongest, most potent, skunkiest bud I’ve ever smoked, and I’ve smoked a lot ! You could smell the skunk from a mile away ! I was in so many embarrassing sitiuations carrying this around in the 90’s. Many of my friends, also heavy smokers/partiers (Deadheads/Phisheads etc) had trouble handling it, especially if they had any alcohol in them.
Miss her dearly !
