Size of pot regarding grow space

Is there a rule?

Let's say i have a micro grow, 20cm width, 40cm length, 40cm height.
and i'd like to maximize yield, gonna do LST and net.
How big pot do i need?

one feminized plant, from seed.
i know it's super small, but it's a micro pet project
and i don't want to put too big pot and then end up cutting plant left and right

There is no rule for pot size that I am personally aware of. I've always just known bigger the pot= more pot in most cases, under the right conditions.. I'd think If your working with that width and height I'd go with something that is say 15w by 15L by 15h depending on your situation with fans, intake, light placement. I'd def try and fit the biggest pot in there though with consideration of all the hardware going on in the box...Just me though. Good luck man! Any pics?

anyway seen as hight is so so so so so limited here is what i would do in your situation

id find a plastic box( icecream or plastic from the meat or buy a food container etc)that is exactly 20cm wide and about 30cm long

it will take some trial but id give it about 5-10 cm hight( just because once u get lights in u have no room at all( with a pot this shallow you will really need to keep on top of watering)

id let the seedling grow to 5cm high before topping it and would continue to top and tuck under the net until it fills the entire space( 5cm tall 20cm wide 40cm long plant)

if you are not using led in this box you better consider a non level scrog type thing

like the net isnt flat but wraps around the bulb in an arch kinda

anyways 40cm hight doesnt matter about pot size- ur challenge is keeping it low
using a smaller pot coudl help you achive this

The dimension sound like a mid-tower pc case. I have a grow in one of such. The grow-chamber is 36cm high, 19.5cm deep and 32cm wide.
Currently using a 1.5 l (0.4 gal) pot (2nd grow) and should say that it takes effort not to let the plant tore the box from inside. A looot of LST, defoliation and so on.
Here's a pic on the day 52 since sprouting. The plant has 12 colas, is severely trained and bent and has a lot of leafs cut (about 30 I guess). Earlier into the grow it was higher and touching the glass screen.

I'd love to have a bigger pot, but the box allows neither a larger pot, nor a bigger plant. Using palm soil.
