Single leaflets

Seen it before outside when the plant didnt get much light, never inside. Only one plant is doing it allthough I have 3 going in the same soil, the others look fine and dandy but the one is a different kind with markedly different phenotype (seeds were a mix from sagarmatha).

I have not given any nutes besides some compost tea I just gave them a minute ago, PH today was between 6.5 and 6.9 for various pots and areas probed.

Any ideas?

Well...

Well...

In my rambling around the internet, I've read of songle leafed cannabis, but usually it eventually starts putting out more normal leaves. If yours doesn't and keeps on doing single leaves, well honey, you got a "stealth" plant! These are several wild plants that look similar to a single bladed cannabis.

Be sure to clone her in case she keeps doing single blades all the way through. If you could "self" her and, through inbreeding, fix the trait, you could make a small fortune!

You didn't mention at what growing stage they are. Some strains going into budding revert to single leaves. Not knowing the strain makes it harder to say. I think I've read that Sagarmatha had an autoflowering strain called Supersonic, I'm not sure if that was in your mix or not. Is the plant doing well? You say the other plants are fine and dandy which I took as a reference to them not having the single leaf trait rather than a statement about this plants general health.

I'll go take pics now.. but before I do I will give some more info. They started out life fine but were fert burned bad bad bad and it stunted them hard core... funy thing is I never fead them, it was all from my bottom watering (filling the tub they grow in with water and letting them suck it up) trouble was ferts had accumulated in the bottom of the tub from previous grows runoff... doh!

They came back once repoted in non ferted soil and are growing well now.. aside from the one thats throwing only single leaflets which I hate.. Had one plant do this and it only gave me maybe 10% of the what would be expected from a plant its size, and it was outside and growing fine aside from the single crap and the tiny whispy airy "buds" which ended up being mostly single calyxes here and there. I dont want another crap yielder, if its going to be another like that I will just stick it outside and forget about it till harvest.

Here are pics, you can see how stunted they are bout how small they are yet they have up to 9 or so nodes! Bad bad bad I know but it was a mistake not flushign the tub between grows! You can also see the aftermath of the fert burn on the lower leaves.

Hi Deft, yeah I can see what you mean now. You did burn the heck out of it lol. Still, I'd say that the alternating leaf thing is just either genetic, or a survival mechanism. It seems healthy enough now, and should grow fine from this point on, I doubt its worth writing it off unless you have space issues. Does look quite sativa-ish though.

Yea it is markedly more sativa than the other two. If you look close you can see that its still only throwing off single leaflets, see how thin the apical nodes are? They are the side nodes now that I have topped/fimed it a few days ago. They are still only shooting out single leaflets per node, I am going to put it outside if its still doing this when its time to flower the other two, its not worth the space and I would get more out of it if it grew outside for the rest of the season.. still not much bud, the last one that did this was ~5' tall and 2' wide and gave me one jar of super airy buds that did not last long at all because I had to compact it to smoke it!

Heres a pic of that last one before it started to flower... It didnt start throwing single leaflets till it went outside and got attacked by bugs. Hrrm could be a stress response in sativa ish plants. Both plants came very near death early in their lives.

The jar on the right is everything it gave me after flowering, super light "buds"
probably less than 8g total! I never weighed it beacause it was so weightless.
