Simulating alternate days than 24hours..

So my fucked up came up with the idea, how a plant would behave in an environment, where the lightcycles are slightly shifted.

For example, what would happen, if we'd put at flowering 12/12 plant into a cycle like
13 on / 12 off
11 on / 12 off
12 on / 13 off
13 on / 13 off - shifting the daily cycle for 1-2 hours compared to our real time.

would they make it too harvest? will they produce bananas? will it take more or less days to finish a plant?

I'm curious and also less than capable of getting into the science of plants inner clock xD

anyone got any crazy theories? :D

Banners would be my guess/ but I wouldn’t b surprised if diff strains showed diff sensitivity to diff environmental variables..

If you have the time/space/inclination m sure you would come up w some interesting observations

I ran a trial earlier this year using 16 on, 12 off. I was using a 7 day timer so I got 6 28 hour cycles in a week giving 12 more hours of light per week over a 12/12 cycle. My thinking was the added light hours would increase growth. I vegged all for 5 weeks at 18/6. then put some at 12/12 and a couple at 16/12.
The controls started showing pistils within 7-10 days.
The 16/12 treatment showed sex but didn’t show pistils for the 3 weeks i ran them that way. I switched them back to 12/12 and they formed pistils quickly. They didn’t show any signs of stress throughout.
In your treatments
13/12 is similar to what I did but not as extreme. If you are just looking to add a little more light hours you could add far red light 5 minute before lights out and 15 minutes after and go with 13/11 or even 13.5/10.5

The other three... IDK. I would guess they will flower normally. Maybe ripen faster with the longer dark

Good Luck
