Simpleword's Lab - 1000 Watt Recirculating DWC - Snow White X Big Bud

Went through and upgraded my room a bit. I'm running 9 DWC buckets under a 1000 watt Hortilux HPS. Light is cooled with a 600 CFM eclipse fan, sucking from outside, blowing outside. Also have a 10 inch passive intake with carbon scrubber and 440 CFM vortex drawing air in and blowing it out the opposite side of the room of the passive intake. 1/4 HP ecoplus water chiller, and a LG 65 pint dehumid.

Strain is Snow White X Big Bud. Should be interesting, not too excited about it but I thought I'd give it a run, should be a yielder at least. Clones are a little nonuniform, but with a little training and bucket rotation everything should be nice and even.

Anyway just wanted to get this thread started. I'll post pics as things progress. Here's some pics of my modest little room:

Thanks SirSmokalot!

A little more info:

Running GH Lucas Formula with LK and Calmag, with the occasional hygrozyme shot. Best water in the world here, completely untreated city water straight from the tap is 42-44 degrees year round and generally between 15-30 ppm, the water I filled the system with last night was 23 ppm. Not too bad if you ask me!

I grew some Snow White a year or so ago. It was good shit, you should be pleased with your end product...

Beautiful room, very nice, clean setup you have there, one question.. could you explain this a little more,
"Also have a 10 inch passive intake with carbon scrubber and 440 CFM vortex drawing air in and blowing it out the opposite side of the room of the passive intake."
for some reason I just cannot picture it..

Oh crap! Woke up this morning and the light was freaking out! The ballast was still buzzing but no light. I wonder what happened? Perhaps the 20 degree air last night was too cold to be cooling the bulb with. Man!

Sorry it was worded badly. I have a 10 inch passive intake on one side of the room, on the other side I have a scrubber with a vortex dumping the air outside.

Nice work on the room. Curious what the measurements are for your space.

I'll be staying tuned

The room is 9.5x7 feet. The grow area is 4x4 for 16 sq feet. Thanks for tuning in.

Well turns out the ballast went to shit on me for some reason. Luckily I had another of the exact same ballast that just needed a new capacitor. Tossed that baby in, fired her up and said "let there be light" and there was light. And it was good.

However now my plants are acting a wee bit funky due to the no doubt frigid air they were exposed to last night. The few beautiful white roots that had may their way out of the netpots have retracted an shrunk. I hope they come back!

Alright here we are at day 14 veg from clone. Had a little hiccup a week and a half ago with my ballast blowing out during the frigid night. Needless to say things got a bit cold in the room (around freezing). Stems purpled up, roots retracted, and growth stopped. Figured I lost 3-5 days due to that. However they have recovered fully and all now have lovely sexy roots dipping their feathery toes in the water.

Some pics from today:

How long do you veg for? Nice ops!
Generally a couple weeks, 3 or so. A little longer this time.
