[Simple Question] Will the plant fill out pre-flower?

I understand that i may expect the plant to do considerable stretching. My question is, now that she has been stretching herself quite thin, Will she fill out a bit before or may that happen later, stretching and then filling out during flowering?

As an outdoor plant, i feel that the growth pattern may be more pronounced in response to environment. Thank you for your time :)

the answer is yes. Once the stretch has slowed and is coming to an end (most strains will be between 2-3 weeks after flowering is induced, sometimes a little longer outdoors) they will start to fill out. Growth tips will start to become spears of bud development. You're also correct on environment, depending on how many hours of daylight your getting it might influence them. Once under 12 hours of daylight it will make them speed up development (sensing the season is coming to an end)

Thank you! I see that i now have another question in response, i should have clarified myself better.

The plant has suffered a fair amount of damage over the season, it consists of mainly small-medium with the few remaining full size leaves, Much chlorophyll has been lost from a previous frost. I'm hoping she may fill out the small leaves in order to sustain better growth during flowering.

The equinox is almost here. Are you saying that once flowering begins, the plant will focus primarily on bud growth or may the leaves fill out some?
