silica gel;dessicant (syn.)

one brand is "damp-rid" ill go check the carton to see if it's silica gel or another type but it should work fine for what you are trying to do

o and u can find it anywhere, walmart, any home store, even depot should have it...you put it in your closet or basement to soak up excess moisture in the air...

T2U y you dont want to you rice as a humidity absorbant?
I´m using 3-4 ricebeans per pack of 15 beans and never had any mold/rot problems

it's gonna be used for pollen...not seeds, i like the fact that they change color so you see how well they are working and if you need to add more, then you can reuse them.....some say that the rice caused mold for pollen storing.

yeppers, rice for seeds, dessicant (dessiccant?) for long-term storage of pollen (and dryin cubensi :p)

anyway, try to use pollen fresh, whenever possible

:p you got that right, the hard part is controlling your pollinations, and making proper selections, of course.

is it possible to over pollinate? i'm going strictly for seed so smoke is not an issue...more seeds the better for this one.....i have a seperate grow for that. my selections are nice n stinky ones with the best growth!!

you sound liek you truly do have your head screwed on straight:yes:

only other thing i'd like to hammer in is on the actual end-goals of making seed.
make sure that you have a goal, something you want to accomplish in the cross (if it is indeed a hybrid), or if making F2 'inbred' i suggest running as many as you can and make your selections based on smoke.... males primarily on stank frost vigour/structure and resistance but you can smoke test them as well.

people who discard (healthy) plants before flower are foolish for doing so, unless there is an over-abundance of undesirable traits shown in the vegetative half of life, such as shitty resistance, extraordinary lack of vigour (some specimins pick up the pace once the lights are flipped) etc..

is it possible to over pollinate?

you can't over pollinate, but you should be careful to not make a total mess of things in your breeding quarters or youll be the-man-with-the-mop :p pollen flies, its microscopic (i think pollen grain is under 20 micron) but anyway, its airborne in a grow environment, fans etc, you dont want to fertilize the wrong plants accidentally, on the next run.. best bet is scrubbin the room down between runs...with a hospital grade bleach dilution. 20 parts water to 1 part bleach is cool, less is ok too, for this. or just use soem other disinfectant with bleaCH like clorox, be careful on panda film i dont know how that would pan out, yellowing ya wouldnt want that, maybe try iso 70% with a spray nozzle screwed on the top and use that straight with a rag and wipe your panda film between seed runs.

you must be very tedious with this as its impossible to tell which pollen swelled the calyx until the seed is germinated so you must keep it controlled, and avoid the problem altogether.

be well, good grows to ya:ying:
