Silent fan for a DIY carbon filter in a small tent.

Hello!

I have a trouble finding a good and a quiet fan for 2'x2'x5' tent. The tent will be placed in the bedroom so it must be silent...
I'm planning to use DIY carbon filter(16'' long, inner core 4'' outer core 6'').
And a 150-200w DIY led fixture... So i think that the heat wouldn't be a issue.

If you have any thoughts or u have a similar setup, please share your experience...

There's sound mufflers to reduce the noise. They can be expensive though. Another way is using sound installation and covering the fan and some of the ducts.

I know the basic " how to" to reduce the sound level of inline fan.
But speed controlled inline fans are expensive + the sound reduceing. Is there any other way to except inline fan to scrubb the air out of the small tent. Or if you have seen any DIY on that matter a link would be appreciate. I'd love to get my hands dirty...
Is there any kind of powerful pc fan something like that, that can handle the scrubber...?

I just looked in to it and seems like people love them... And i found a used TD-100xs At amazon just little over 100 bucks... Seems like a good choise.
But really, how silent are they? Are you able to sleep next to it if its running? Does it rise eyebrows is someone is standin 5ft from it?
And i'm not in a hurry with it.. So if anyone knows something good and silent pleas let me know

I have the 125mm which is at 280 and 380 m3/h ish if i remember correctly, i have it kind of hanging/standing on ventilation ducts(which is sound reduced ventilation) in a little.. lets call it a kitchen cabinet which is 140 cm high (or a 140cm wardrobe) but u get the shape of it..

To the point, the fan is very quiet even running on 380 m3/h. I cant hear 280 m3/h over my PC, 380 i dont know because i moved the grow cab to another room before i tried that... but they are REALLY silent

TD-100 wired for low speed (S&P fans can be wired for 2 speeds) is pretty quiet in a bedroom if you can stick the tent in a closet w some clothes or a door to help absorb sound. It's quieter than a high powered desktop computer.

You can also use another device, like a small occilating fan, to "pin" the sound on. Visitors hear sound from both devices, and think it's all from the appliance they can see. I don't think you can find a PC [axial] fan that will work with a carbon filter. -granger

And the oscillating fan is a good distraction... When ever i get visitors to come by.. I'll just put the fan on.. And maybe modify it to make more noise...

panasonic whisperline bathroom fans are pretty much silent.
construct a frame out of light wood with hardware cloth on the bottom, then cover the hardware cloth with an air filter matt (material for making your own filter for a window type AC unit.)
attach box to the top of the bathroom fan where the grill would go with wood screws.
add about 1 to 2 inches of activated carbon.
should be fine for your small space.
Won't save any money when all the time and labor is added in, but it will be super quiet.
