Signs of nute burn or nute splash?

I've got some discoloration of my bottom leaves on some of my plants, I've been hand watering the rockwool slabs at ec1.0 and they seem to be making some good progress over the last week apart from this rusting on some of the leaves.

Are the nutes too strong or could it be nutrient splashing from the hand watering? or could it be that I need to up my watering frequency to prevent salt build up in the slabs? temps are withing good range and the 600w light is about 2 feet away.

what is your ph and how often are you watering? What nutrients are you using and how much and how often?

EC seems kinda high...... ph may be an issue too.... are these different strains?

Hi stitch,

PH is 5.5 going in and I measured some coming out and it was 5.7, Strain is all the same. Im using Advanced hydroponics of holland Dutch Formula and im hand watering every 2nd day.

Jiggy, I've seen some reports of the rust fungal disease on uk420 but surely if it was that it would effect all the plants no?

Hi core,

I forgot to say thank you earlier for that schedule, I used that and it game my plants a good boost. Im still using the 1ml 0.5ml 0.5ml as it gives me an ec of 0.9 and my tap water doesnt register on my meter so I think any more would still be too hot at this stage.

If they are suffering from overfert it could possibly be from a salt buildup in the medium as I have been watering every second day as the slabs hold a lot of water. Is it more beneficial to flood every day to replenish fresh nutes and oxygen even if the slabs are still holding a good bit of solution?

Are you feeding them every water? If so I would stop and just flush them out a little I know rockwool is very absorbent but you gotta think too, because if the nutrients are still sitting in there and you water again you do not give your plants a chance at just a fresh drink. I would flush it out and then later give them nutes but you need to give them a chance to recover. Are these different strains? Some look just fine and others are not........

They're all the same strain stitch, I have been giving them nutrients 1.0ec every watering. I'll flush them out with plain water with some h202 and let them breathe a bit.
