Sick plant?

Hey guys, i got two Kalashnikovas and two SLH right now growing up into mother plants and i would like to get some opinions on my Kalashnikova that was screwed up a bit at the start. (put the seed in the hole and the retard grew upside down) so i had to excavate it... anyway it turned out to be stunted, then deformed but i am keeping it around because i have the room and time. but i just cracked a bean of GHSC The Doctor incase things went sour with my asshat plant.

Will this plant grow out poorly because it was stunted? or is it sick?

i dont know why but it looks over watered...
by the pics i can see the soil is wet all the time. try to let it dry a bit, this is still a baby...
how often do you water them ?

I watered mine 1x per week up until last week, when I had to water the bigger ones 2x/week.

A week later they're big enough to now it's every 3 days. Personally I think they just started out a little traumatized but they're ok now. I have a feminized Bubblelicious that's a bit stunted due to some surgery I had to perform on day 8 but she's ok now, just a bit stunted like yours. FWIW i'm a noob too; I normally grow garden crops.

My corn this year is so big I actually have to use stakes to hold em up. :D

Great, i water them maybe once every 2-3 days. i have 50% perlite/soil mix for insane drainage (i really wanted to avoid overwatering) The Leaves on my one kalashnikova are abit blotched/discolored but i saw other pictures of kalashnikova (like this) so i think its a phenotype.

hi Firius...maybe the beginning was hard for your ladies but I'm with the ones who say "now they're OK"...I would say what your seedlings need is your patience...I'm sure if you let them do their thing at their own rhythm, they'll soon become like the Kalas you're referring to...for the watering, don't impose a strict schedule like "I water every 2 days", just learn to "read" their needs...in soil, it's by far more easy to deal with an under watering than with an over watering...although not an expert here just my little experience....often, less is more....

Yeah, for watering i wait till they droop abit and i stick my finger up to the first nuckle into the medium to see if its still moist. I would prefer my plants to be always hungry for water as it induces roots to spread in search of more water, thus somtimes i use a spray bottle to make the top 1/4-1/2" moist and let the lower root system dry out abit more before watering. Thanks though

Mistake! Never moist just top of your soil and let the bottom dry. This will cause your roots to grow up and thats NO GOOD.

So instead i should let the top dry out and just dip the bottom 1/4 of the pot in abit of water? i didn't know roots could grow upwards..... lol
