Sick of buying fans

Right I've just had a look at my current grow!!

Ffs the air circulation fan has died again 2nd one this year


So my question is why doesn't someone design a fan that is supposed to be hung upside down?

I've got a little version of that same one but hung upside down for 6 months its a no go!!

I'm gonna take it apart and put some grease in the mechanism tomorrow but at this stage its just something that might get replaced for the next run!!

Centrifugal aka squirrel cage fans are the best, designed for continuous use, I knew of one running 24/7 for 18 years, in a tent I would run a ventaxia meteor style fan, compact and work very well. Spotted Carrefour selling a nice quality S&P one for €27 recently

They also have some fans that can clip on to the poles inside ur tent.

Old fan was dismantled this morning and some silicon gun oil applyed to the mechanics

I used to run wall mount fans in my 5x10 tent.

attach fan to a 1.5' 1x4, then use another 1x4 behind pole, use toggle bolts to secure the fan + 1x4 to the 1x4 behind the tent pole and sandwich together. easy peasy.

a simple 1x10 attached to 2x tent poles would be the cheapest and (imo) best alternative to mount items in a grow tent. im all about engineering/fabricating my own things when needed. would be basically the same as the gorilla tent "board" for xx $.

then you can screw/bolt what ever you need to the plank of wood.
