Hey guys, having issues with my mother plant's.
All plants are in same soil (nz gro mix), the plants that are flowering in tent are perfect and showing no difficencies of any sort, the only thing that is different is the light - 2 x 24 w cfl + 2 x 18w cfl..Need to adjust the lights so they are more efficient (just vertical at moment) and the cold temps that the mother plant went through.
This is quoted from the Nz/Aus forums I wrote.
Temps are now good 20 degrees the plants still look pretty sick but im not sure if its jusdt because they went into flower with cold temps and now have to reveg?
Or other option is just to let the mother plants die and take clones off the lower branches of the flowering plants which haven't started budding too much yet? and create a new mother plant. the plants genetics seem to be hardy and I reveged these plants already and no signs of any hermies!

Next problem I had is because its winter in NZ im having some shocking temperatures! -8 isn't uncommon, now im growing in a shed outdoors that gets very cold, so I had to insulate the area to prevent the temps dropping too low, I put a small 600w heater in there, hooked up to a thermostat to keep the temp at around 20-22 degrees.
Next problem I had was keeping my clone and mother plant cupboard warm , thought long and hard about it then I had an idea (could be a bad one!), but I used the warm exaust air from my main grow to heat my cupboard, I drilled hole in base of cupboard and vented the warm air from the bottom of the cupboard and left a hole in side to allow it to flow up to the top, seems to work well and has dramatically bought the temps up. Just hope theres enough fresh air to keep them growing healthy.
unfortunately I only just got it all hooked up recently,so my mother plants took a turn for the worst and the low temps really damaged the plants, so I had to put them into flower for a few days to try save them! which forced the plants to go into flower hopefully they will come back. So the mother plants are not great at the moment looking very sick.
