SICK BUDS

HELP PEEPS!!!

Help someone FAST...These are some pics of my FMS WW that are at day 40 of flower...The problem was first noticed 2 days ago and progressed VERY rapidly...Plants are in bubbler, GH Flora nutes using Lucas bloom (8ml M, 16ml B)...PH was always kept at 5.7-5.8 using filtered tap water...Temps are perfect, although I did leave a window open over night and on a few occasions the temps dipped low, but nothing extreme...250w HPS at about 6" above plant tops

Best pic I could get of a sick fan leaf:

Heres one of the biggest, tallest bud:

And here's the worst looking bud, almost a total loss?:

My first thought was a PH problem...Checked the rez and it was at 6.2-6.3...So I changed out the rez and added fresh nutes, adjust to PH 5.6 (mine rises slightly after bubbling) yesterday and the plants look even worse today!!!

My next thought was a Potassium and/or Iron problem...Possibly lockout from too high PH...Now that the PH was corrected, I addressed the Pot/Iron problem by adding some blackstrapp molasses (1 1/2 tsp diluted in 1 gal), PH adjusted this, and added about 1/3 gal to the rez...No time or funds to get any Cal/mag Plus, so this is my only option at the time

I'm getting a little paranoid as this will be my last grow for quite a while and I need to get as much yield as possible...I figure I have 2 options with the tops looking as they do right now:

1) Harvest a few weeks early before anymore of my precious buds get damaged/destroyed...Lose potency and yield, but salvage what I can

2) Let it ride for a few more days (4-5 more?) and hope for the plants to recover...All the while risk losing what's still good, and possibly the whole harvest

BTW, this is a pick of a FMS C99 bud that is in the same cabinet as the WW's...This was taken at 48 days, ready for 2 days of darkness then harvest:

PLEASE, someone with MEGA experience tell me what they think I should do...Never ran into a problem this late into flower and I'm really at a loss
:badday:

Thanks peeps

My Widows did a similar thing. Mine was a Cal/Mag deff started about 50 day's. I let them finnish out till 75 day's. At the end, they had almost no leaves left. I would let them go longer. Is this just affecting leaves or do you see flower damage also?

Hard to tell...Looks like all the small fan leaves on the tops are basically dead...Dry and crumble to the touch...Buds themselves look OK I guess, but it is hard to tell with all the dead foliage intermingled (ooo, fancy word)

Blackvelvet Switch formulas to 3/4 strength of this: 15 bloom 10 micro 5 grow per gallon of water. :)

Ahh...The trusted 1-2-3 formula...I did some digging in my notes and found the same thing today...Here's wjhat I found: Veg: 3-2-1, preflower: 2-2-2, flower: 1-2-3 (grow-micro-bloom I think)...Was going to try this but figured it probably has too much N...Micro and Grow are nearly identical in composition and I figured why add Grow and a major bump in N? Thats why I went for the molasses...Add in the Cal/Mag and K without the N...Might give it try if things dont improve shortly

Thanks peeps...Guess I'll let them go for a few days and see what happens...Not much more I can do unless I get freaked again and decide to chop em early

is it affecting the top foliage only? If so it might be heat stress. I notice ur c99 looked kinda burned also. Similar to when i burned my plants by having them around 6 inches from light.

Since everything else seems in order i would raise the light to 8-10 inches or lst. just my :2cents:

Hi Sedated and thanks for the reply...

No the C99's were in their last week of flower and were the farthest from the light (12"+)...Plants are under a 250 HPS and cabinet temps are close to 80-83 at all times

Think it was a cal/mag/K/iron problem which the molasses seems to have nipped in the bud (pun)...Lower new leaves were starting to show the same mottling the older ones were...Everything seems to be stabilized now

Blackstrap is the shiznit IMO...Nice cheap alternative to Cal/mag Plus and it works like a charm...Big ass bottle cost me under $6, can't beat it or the results

This pic was from one of the leaves that was approx 14" below the light...Def not heat related unless I have some kind of SUPER 250 :biglaugh:

Thanks for the help peeps...Thats what makes this site so valuable
