hi, i have this ak48 and today it was like that on the morning... what should i do? will it die? i have other seedlings and they are doing just fine... some smaller ones dried completly and died but the rest is ok
Since you do have some healthy seedlings, it is safe to assume that too much fertilizer is not the problem. May be fungus is what is causing this. You can take the bad seedling out of the pot and try and examine the roots. A healthy seedlings roots should be white and fluffy like cotton and not brown. Pay special attention to the root tips. Also examine the stem at or slightly above the soil line. Disease would be brown in color unlike the upper parts of its stem which would be white in color. You may want to spray your seedlings with a fungicide like daconil 2787 using slightly less than the ornamental rate. This is good prevention anyway. Best defense against fungus is to avoid letting the seedlings sit wet for long periods of time.
well first off it may not be getting enough light, see that one that is twisted all the way over to the light, you cant have that, you need more light the setup pictuer is the one im talking about
you need to add some compact fluros to that
that one seedling that is dying like that ... where at in the system is it? is it under light or in a corner?
and what soil mixtuer are you using and how often are you watering your plants?
this was a mix of perlite, vermiculite, turf and rinds.. i have some healthy seedlings yet, i have some dying, what should i do? im thinking in putting them on 100% coco what do you think? i never put fertilizer on them so i know its not a problem
do not put them in 100% coco, depending on the coco mix, snice your first time grower who starting out with not alot coco is not a good optiion right now
you need ph meters and adjusters to use cdoco because different brands have different ph
not to mention can carry sodium which is very bad for plants
like vertite said get some dirt
your problem is you need more light too
where is that one plant dying? is it away from the light>? or in the corner?
