Showing sex at day 9

Is showing sex at Day 9 early? This is the quickest I have ever seen plants grow, ty CMH lighting!! I think this is a female, just wanted your guys input. Also, what are some early signs of males?

Edit: Click on the image and look at the 2 pistols closest to you. From what I read in the past I thought that was a sign, no?

I think that is just new growth, not pre-flowers. Plants usually take about 4-5 weeks to show sex, maybe a week quicker if you start em on 12/12.

Either you see two white pistils or you don't. It's that simple. If you see a club looking thing, like on a deck of cards, then that's a male.

Man confusing thread.I'm confused are you lol?Who's ever seen a plant take 4-5 to start bud?Where is our starting point?Obviously we have a vegging plant at a week and a half and of course you won't get preflowers that early in veg.I've seen preflowers as early as 3 weeks but it can take a tad longer sometimes.I havent had to go to a 12/12 photocycle to sex a seedplant in a very long time.Get a good magnifying glass and learn to indentify the different structure and texture of male and female preflowers.The female are elongated and conelike,resembling a teardrop sometimes and appear smooth.This is days before pistils protrude.The male preflowers appear rougher in texture shorter and stubbier,often what appears to be a dark short protruding tip.With a good magnifying glass and good light its real easy with practice and you wont make mistakes.

wow... ok that doesnt even look remotely close to preflowers in anyway shape or form but i mean depending on how many grows you have under your belt u probably wouldnt kno the difference but sorry buddy thats new growth not preflowers 100% sure...

certain strains can show sex during veg if vegged long enough like ssay into the 5-8 week range. My Kali Mist all show sex in the 6 or 7 th week of veg and my other plants all show sex within days of switching the lights to 12/12. 2 weeks is around the avg time it takes to see sex parts though. 4-5 weeks you should have buds forming already if they are girls.

I didn't mean to confuse anyone. In my experience, plants take 4-5 weeks from when they break the soil to show sex under veg conditions (14+ hrs of light). I believe the poster refers to 9 days from sprouting as that plant looks to be about 9 days old.

i thought you meant 4-5 weeks IN flower to show sex. lol.not 4-5 weeks in VEG to show sexable preflowers.

Take a closer look at the picture. Those 2 pistols right in the middle of both branches, like 2 little fingers. I thought I read in High Times Grow Guide 96' that being a sign of early feminism? If I am wrong I apologize.
