most plants do. not sure why they claim that as a selling point with c99.
the plants in my garden alternated nodes about the same time. some c99s were late..
nothing special in that area and it doesnt depend per strain as much as per plant per strain.. the most sativa ones did first last season C99 ZDP and a sat bagseed.
maybe its a claim just because alot of the "sativa dominant" plants people show up on here arent even as sativa as C99..
I have always let my seed plants grow [vegetative growth] until they show sex. All plants will in time, but it takes a long time sometimes.
Then I take clones and put seed plant into flower, and only keep the clones of the best plant after seed plant has finished.
I usually can tell how good its going to be 2/3 through flower and dispose of the clones of poor specimens, but I have been surprised in that last 1/3 before and wished I had kept the clones of the late bloomer.
I find once I take mine from 24 hours of light to 18/6 they pop there sex on about the 7th or 8th node if they are female.. male takes longer for some reason.. thats how its been my last few runs.. but who knows... lol.. I'm no pro heh
i have had a cindy 99 mom in veg under 18/6 for a while and no preflowers
The less light per day will help her start to bloom quicker, i also find rootbound plants tend to throw out a bunch of preflowers
I veg my plants for 8 weeks, and virtually all show preflowers before I turn them over to 12/12. The Ak, Trainwreck and C-99 are some of the first. Gypsy's Kiss showed very early on. Both were male.
