Should this dual-tent airflow scenario work?

A poorly drawn picture is worth a thousand words.

I currently have a single DR60. The fan is on a Variac somewhere between 50 - 75% power and is keeping temps at 4-6+ ambient and excellent negative pressure.

If I added another DR60 and set everything up as shown....that should work, shouldn't it?

Some ambient temp air from the room would still get pulled in through one intake on DR60-B, while some higher temp air would come in from DR60-A.

Perhaps add a duct fan in the run from A-B?

The veg tent will have 2 x 55w T-5 arrays, and t

What do you think?

Air will always travel the path of least resistance. So it depends on where the fan is placed in that set up. I'm assuming that the fan will be placed pulling out the top of the left cab. If that is the case block the lower left intake of the left cab as well.

Got cut off mid-sentence there. Was going to add that the flowering tent has a 250HPS.

You are correct, there is a fan in the attic pulling out of the top of the cab, capable of 400+cfm, though the filter is only rated for 400.

Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to be giving this setup a try, I just can't bring myself to put in any more work on the veg cab.

Maybe when you get it all set up test the temps, I'm thinking maybe it could be better to veg/flower in the opposite tent, once you block the intake as pete suggested. So flower would be cooler than veg.

In addition to blocking the intake in the left cab, you might also consider opening the blocked intake in the right cab. You'll have double the intake size that way, and it will put less stress on your fan, which will already be operating under a lot of static pressure.
