Should i trim the fanleafs on this indica? Currently I just have it tied down. But there is goog growth under the big fanleafs.

The first 2 pix r from today. The last one is from around a day ago lights off. Currently on 18-6 light schedule. I could just take off a few big fanleafs.

I prefer to string her up and spread her branches apart to let the light in rather than remove the fans, which aid growth.

Just this guy, ya know?
That's really squat, it will start to stretch a lot more once it hits flower. You don't wanna take off so much it slows the plant down, but you won't get much of anything bud wise at nodes that are shaded so heavily. It's kind of a balancing act.

It looks very dry on that soil. Maybe add water. :tiphat:

Hope you made nice holes at the bottom for drainage too.

I removed a fan leaf as suggested by a seed breeder/bank description.. Never again. My side by side Romulan (outdoor) Showed slower growth and less filled out end of season. Sometimes we remove a lef to expose new growth only to realize the new growth would have come out as strong if the big leaf were tucked/propped up/away...not removed

It is clear that no matter which way you choose, removing leaves or tieing them down, the plant needs time to catch up. This could definitely destroy an outdoor timing schedule.

I'm of the opinion it's strain dependent. Some plants will do better with a trim job, others don't like it.
