Should I "transplant" this seedling?

Hi, I am doing my first grow in a coco/perlite mix and my first seedling sprouted today. (I am germinating my seed in the final growing medium) My issue is that the coco "sunk" into the pot much more than I thought it would after watering, so now I have a lot of empty space at the top of the pot. I am growing in a very small area, and I want to make the most out of the space I have.

My question is would it be a good idea to scoop the seedling and pour more coco/perlite into the pot or is that too risky for a seedling?

Thanks.

If the plant is very young it's easy to do.

Just take a very large spoon and scoop out lots of soil with the seedling.
Don't pull the seedling out of the soil. Leave it's roots buried while doing
this move.

Then add more soil in your pot and put the plant with the soil back at the right level.

Give the soil a good misting and all should be fine.
