Should I transplant before or after I flip to 12/12???

Hello all. I have a question for all the growers out there. I have 20 seedlings about 1 month old. They are ready for transplant, but I want to sex them first. Should I sex them, then transplant, or should I transplant, flip the lights to 12/12, and then cull out the males??? I want to take clones too, can I do this after the flip??? Ive heard they will be stunted. Any advice. This is my thread:

it would be best to take clones before you go 12/12... as far as sex goes i just tp mine then pop the male out.

I am having nute problems at the moment, got new stuff comin on Monday...All Earth Juice products...Grow, Bloom, Catalyst and MicroBlast...all good stuff, Ive used it B4.Monday is transplant day, into 2gal. grow bags, and a good dose of fresh nutes...Ahhh....

if it was me id tp them, let them get out of tp shock if any and settle in, then take a few clones and by then your fert problem should have been taken care of and the clone sites should be ready to jam.

Are they ready for transplant?That should be the overiding question you dont want to transplant before the rootball has filled the container.Here's an overview of how I do it.I veg under 4 ft cool whites until about 5-6 inches keeping the lights no morte than 1/4 inch above the tops at all times,touching the lamps is no problem just give them a bend down lol.Then I transplant to two gallon(NSI classic 600) and veg till approx 18 inches,then I transplant to 3 gal(NSI 2000) veg for approx 5 more days,take cuts and flower.Its best if you can do the final transplant before going into 12/12 though not necessary.When its time to transplant its time to transplant,and when its not its not.Thats the important thing for both plant health and wise utilization of available soil.

Holy shit! I just got curious and took and tape to my blockhead which are a couple days from taking cuts and 12/12 31 inches lol.These are the biggest blockhead I've gtrown to date,I used to flower them in the NSI 600 2 gallon and still get 1 1/2 oz per plant.31 inches from the top of the pot is a lot lot bigger than I thought though,my estimation on sizing plants needs major work lol.Hell I'd take cuts today and flower tomorrow if I didnt have a million other things to do.

Thanks for the advice guys...much appreciated. Ballastman, sounds like you got the right idea. Im gonna TP on Mon. into 2 gal growbags, give them a fresh dose of nutes, veg for a week more, take cuts, then flip the lights. Any advice on taking clones, this will be my virgin run with them!!! There are sooo many cloning methods on here, which one to choose???Peace, y'all....
