Should I take my Can 66 out of my tent?

I have a dilemma here. I have 7 plants in a DR120 (4"x4") tent and I don't have enough room in here. I have my Can66 sitting in the corner of this tent on a milk crate. The only way I can make more space in here is to take the Can66 out of here and blow air through it outside of the tent. Instead of sucking into it inside the tent. Should I take it out? Right now the airflow goes Can66 --> Super Sun 2 hood ->> out tent--> through 8" Can Fan. If I switch it it will go into the Super Sun 2 hood, out the tent through the 8" Can Fan then into the Can 66.

If I switch it like this will I still get good airflow through the Super Sun 2? Last time with 3 plants the smell was overwhelming. I know fans are better at pulling than pushing, so if I am pushing into this Can 66 will it actually remove more odors since the airflow won't be as good?

I forgot to mention that the other solution I have to my problem is I have a 9'x8'x9' high room hooked onto the side of my house that I can convert into a grow space. The problem with that is I don't have the cash right now to do it. Plus, I don't know if I want to move my plants out there anyway because I'm afraid they'd be more prone to pests out there. It will take a lot of work to get it ready to grow in and I need to do something now. My plants are really crowded and I don't want my yield to suffer any more than it has to.

I wish I could hang the Can 66 up in this tent but it's too heavy to hang from the tent framing. And I don't see any other way to do it.

People put the scrubber outside all the time. Since visual stealth seems to be of no concern, you can move the fan outside as well. SuperSun/tent wall/fan/scrubber which may help overall CFM as you'll restrict the push to a minimum. At worst it may warm up the cab a little but restricting CFM will only make the filter last longer.

Hey thank you for the help. I forgot to mention that I already have the Can Fan outside the tent. I have it mounted to the ceiling of the room right next to the tent. I had been planning on running the exhaust from it into my attic because I thought the plants would get more fresh air that way, plus the heat would all go into the attic. Right now it just gets sucked out of the tent and blown back into the room that the tent is in. But I won't be able to do that now, unless I just put the scrubber right in the attic and run the ducting through the ceiling into the attic. Maybe that's what I'll do.

I have A/C in the room, but I don't have any fresh air being pulled into the room. It doesn't seem to be hurting the plants at all though not having fresh air being sucked into the room. They're extremely vigorous and that's why I have the crowding problem.

It's not going to give me much more room by moving the scrubber out of the tent, but it will help.

You can hang that 66 from the tent. Doesnt seem like you should, but it definately can be done.

Use the side perimeter poles as well as the support poles included to strap it up. Use those giant industrial zipties from HD or Lowes to ziptie it up there. works great.

The darkroom tents can support 30kg (65lbs). The can filter 66 is 45lbs..leaving you some room to spare for your light. You gotta remember though that you'll be spreading this weight out.

I've hung 3 daystar acs in a 4x8 homebox along with a can filter 66...and it handled it no problem...and thats with a homebox..which is a tad more "flimsy" then the darkrooms.

I know they say they can support that amount of weight, but I don't trust it. I moved it out of the tent. It gave me a little more space than I thought it would. I wish I had one less plant in here, but I'll have to deal...

i have the same problem here. i'm losing over a square foot of precious light soaked space in my homebox xl. i have always been afraid to hang the can33 due to weight. i dont think it would be worth it to have the filer, plus 2 inline fans and my light go crashing into a tray full of water. sucks, but i sleep easier.

I've got a DR80 tent. I run my ducting like so:

Supersun > ducting > 4"vortex > ducting > filter on top of tent.

Works great.
