went to a legal cannabis dispensary in Virginia yesterday for the first time. they don't (as of yet) have a legal framework for selling weed other than medical, thanks to the GOP in control of their state Senate. they had all kinds of neat shit, plus a work-around about the sales for recreational. what caught MY eye was the pot plant growing under a nice looking Mars Hydro LED light set. it was starting to flower, but...i actually felt sorry for the plant. it's leaves were curling, tips burned brown, and yellowing veins to beat hell. no sign of having been watered in forever, dirt dry as far as i could work my finger down. they had the light up WAY too far IMHO. i've run HPS closer than what they had set up. it was a bad look all the way around..."in for a buck, don't give a fuck"

Virginia has some pretty good stuff and was always easy to get if I remember correctly. Plenty of cool people there too, plus the weather is beautiful. They have nice outdoor growing conditions. Maybe they can take the plant outside for a little recovery. That's something going in a store to buy weed, WoW.

I know the feeling, been in the very same situation before. Did not say anything. But maybe a friendly "I think she could do with a drink" would have been ok.

New hydro store near me opened. I try to support them as the kid seems enthusiastic but he is seriously lacking experience.

I go in and there are 5 plants, about 3' tall under some no name LED. These plants had every problem you can name, bugs, mildew, deficiency, nuts burn, all of it.

I'm staring at them thinking about taking a gasoline shower soon as I leave lol.

Kid says, first time seeing a cannabis plant?

I laughed and said yes, one with this many problems. He told me it was in perfect health and you have to push them to get top shelf. He then tried to sell me some Barney's Farm cuts he selected. They had webs, mites.

their "work-around" for selling real weed is gonna drag their ass into court, i'm afraid. they'll sell a non-medical customer high CBD cannabis at one window. then, you can step to the NEXT window and trade it for real weed. illegal to sell real pot, but "bartering" is okay.
