Should I keep going? (Pics)

She's 12 weeks old. I have her surrounded with grow bulbs (one above and 3 vertical). Question is, does she have potential or should I invest my resources in a new crop? I hear all the time how some strains grow tall and others grow wide. Looking at her, does she have the capacity to give me a decent crop? and if so when?

My thoughts are that she's not a strong brancher, but at the same time I think she's really tall because she spent just under a month under a High pressure sodium that was over six feet above her, causing her to stretch upwards.

Any comments are appreciated.

12 Weeks: Above

7 Weeks: Profile

12 Weeks: Profile. Leaves appear limp only because of side-lighting.

Leaf 1.5 hours after pruning. Healthy?

Thanks.

She looks healthy, just very stretched out. If you can tie her down, go for that. Otherwise, I'd take a clone from the lower branch and start over.

why not top it at one of the lower nodes and let it grow out.? seed or clone? if you dont know if its male or female. maybe start over...

Either get more light or bring the ones you already have closer to the plant, it is starving for lumens. Six feet is too far away for you to keep the hps you could keep around two feet away with proper ventilation. By seven weeks it should have had a lot more side growth than it did, and by twelve weeks it should be a lot bushier than it is.

Preciate the input gents. I was in South Africa for a month so a friend babysat in his greenhouse, there she only got 12 hours from the HPS, so she's budded only on the very top node. Once a plant has started budding, even a little bit, can she grow quickly once changed back to 18 hours?

Cloning idea sounds golden. That might be the best plan. Though she was given to me as a seed, not sure if she's a strain even worth cloning, can anyone tell?

Edit: what do you mean tie her down?

id nix it and start over. i hate to say that. maybe take a clone. but if you want something going you might be better off to start again.

i can be put back on 18 hours. but your looking at adding more weeks to start revegging. sorry man.

top her (or him), then clone the side-branches.

If it's a girl (and you said she was budding) it'll save you time over starting again from seed.
...you've got to consider: if you flower it, it's going to continue to stretch, and with the spacing between nodes you've got, that's just not economical.
Or better yet, top her then throw her outside. At that height she isn't going to be easy to work with no matter what you do. (Of course if you throw her outside you're effectively doubling your risk)
Yeah ... I dunno. I think I'd top her and soak some new seeds, simultaneously.
