Should I just Chop?

ok...I will try to explain my problem as best I can and if someone wants pics then I can get those too....but I think an explanation will work fine.
I have 2 female sativas at about day 45 of flowering.
When I started budding I gave a rather strong nute dose becuase of something stupid I read and one of the plants did not recover to well (burned)...that same plant also got a little heat stress due to fan not kicking on with the timer for a couple of days......that was also in early budding.
Well now the stunted plant is growing SUPER slow. It is not drinking near as much water as before and when I scrape into the topsoil, the roots appear to be dying (very dry). That is just on top, it is still holding lots of water due to it is still heavy when picked up, my other one is still fine as far as drinking water.
The buds have formed but I noticed the last couple of weeks almost NO growth at all. The stems, although red or burgundy color are still strong and stiff. There is plenty of resin on the buds as well. The buds are decent sized too....I just hope this damn thing isn't dying on me slowly.
All the fan leaves died after the nute burn and have not began to show green again at all. The buds are still mostly green but the dead yellow dried out leaves are now spreading to the buds.
SHOULD I GO AHEAD AND CHOP?
or should I just let it dry out then water with light nute dose and hope the buds start filling out again?
Overall the plant is starting to look yellowed and dried out compared to the other one which still looks nice and green.
HELP PLEASE.....I will be too grateful!!!!!!

If it were me in this situation....

if i had a plant vegged out that would finish approx the same time as the sativa that you have going already would finish, i'd chop and replace with said plant.

if not, i'd just let it grow out.

If it keeps heading for the worst I would chop it down. But if that is all the damage done I would wait and see what happens maybe it will recover. And it coulf be some very dank stuff you want to wait for.

instead of getting 2 replies out of 45 views that are maybe half of the kind of answer I'm looking for. No offense to the responders....thanks for responding.
I just thought this site was a little better than this.....man are we all in trouble!!!:(

relax killer... didn't you just tell someone else to be patient?

anyway..

if you don't want to risk anything, chop it and be done w/ it. make some hash if the buds aren't potent enough...

but if you want to try to renurse it... which would be kinda tough 45 days into 12/12 seeing as it is pretty much too late to reveg (though, that you could try to)... you should find the real cause of it's decay...

me thinks it is a nute lockout, but you could have straight burned the roots w/ way too many nutes...

sounds like this entire problem is due to your patience... keep trying

yeah I told him be patient because I had not really gotten any responses to my post 2 replies out of 50 something views!
So I was simply letting him know what I was noticing....anyways...
thanks for replying, yeah I know I fucked one up but if from nute burn then I don't see how you think it's lack of patience..I just fed too much and now the plant is really drying out....or looks like it's dry from appearance but the roots are not drinking much if any water.
Believe me....this bud has potency already!!
I am aware of this.......that's why I am looking for a really good answer here.
I need to find out more on root burn to compare symptoms.
I figured maybe SOMEONE had been through something like this with all these experienced growers around here:)
nice answers but some more input would be appreciated.

To me it sounds like it might be rootbound. What sized pot is it in? If the roots get to cramped in the pot they ball up and will basicly stop bringing in water and food. Have you flushed out the soil yet? If you have to much of a salt buildup or the ph is all screwed up you are going to be locking out your nute's. What are you feeding the plant currently? How often?

You may also want to consider using a "fixer" Advanced nutrients has a product called revive, that helps repair damaged, stressed out plants also helps correct deficiencies

Revive

Without any more info on the plant or it growing conditions it makes it harder to diagnose the problem.

We should look at this problem from the beginning. For that..we need to kno what size container ur in, how big a light, nutes used...etc. With that info it'll help us all come to a solution. If all else fails, i dont find it a huge biggie to chop R' down. You might not get the yield u anticipated , but u'll sure get a hell of a buzz. -Opt
