hey everyone, well i have 1 gallon grow bags this is my first time using organic soil its pretty strong stuff and i was looking at the fox farm feeding schedule and it said to use the ocean forest potting soil along with nutes but im thinking the soil is already pretty strong im just tryin to not burn my plants but i also dont want a deficiency

I use the FF ocean forest soil along with all of FF's nutes/ additives(open sesame, beastie bloomz, cha ching)! At first feedings I always feed with 1/4 then next feeding I goto 1/2 then the third I goto full strength(Remember its feeding every other watering). If you don't have the additives I suggest buying them! There well worth the money! Heres my 3 girls(2 nl x shiva and 1 skunk #1) 8 days into flowering being fed with FF nutes following the schedule from day 1!

Ocean Forrest is very rich.
I usually moisten mine with EWC tea 3 or 4 days before transplanting into it. I don't add any ferts for about 2 or 3 weeks depending on how much perlite/ other stuff I mix into it.
I don't know anything about the Fox Farms feeding schedule but in my experience manufactuer's suggested doses are on the heavy side so I would not follow their schedule.
I come from the less is more perspective though so take what I say about this with a grain of epsom salt.

I flowered some NYCD from clone in ffof and I didn't need to add ferts til about week 4 (big pots). With other strains the food in the soil has ran out sooner...the first signs of food running out of the soil for me are the leaves will start lightening up to a lime green and I start to see slight signs of mag def. but nothing major.

You can tell when it's time to feed by keeping a close eye on them...
