So I've been in the process of starting seeds for the last month. It's still too cold to keep them outside so I've been bringing them in every night under supplemental lighting and setting out every morning.
Almost as soon as I put them out this morning, a couple Crows landed on one tray and started picking. I chased them off, came back about 30 minutes later...This occurred at least 4 times. So the Crows leave and I look out and one of my dogs is in one of the trays. I chase him off (twice) and look out an hour later to see my cat eating from a tray. After chasing her off 3x, she stayed away.
The whole time, gale force wind is beating these poor seedlings to death but I'm determined to have them under the sun. I had them on a patio table and got the brilliant idea to put them on the ground and turn the table on it's side to deflect the wind. I go back out after about an hour and the wind has flipped the table over, onto the trays. I had 6 trays and the table flipped perfectly over to land on them. I don't think I could've purposely set it on the trays as perfectly as it landed.
I'm starting to think this batch of seedlings is cursed. Either that or the forces of Nature are trying to tell me something.
