just wanted to post this latest bust that happened in the midwest...animal control officers had come to this guys home to deal with ILLEGAL pitbulls he had wandering around in his own yard...well, he ended up shooting a gun in the air to scare these guys,and then the real police came to the scene and questioned him at his house and smelled marijuana...he had a nice sized hydro set-up and some nice looking dogs...they showed bags and bags of quality looking buds and his entire hydro set-up....looks like he had been at it for some time...in my opinion, the guy deserves to get popped if he's gonna make decisions like that...it makes peaceful growers look like gang warlords...anyways, just wanted to share...stay safe

Yeah I heard about this too, really I can't blame the guy though, he fucked himself tho. Should have went about it another way, rather then pull out the gun. Its fucking bullshit that they've been banning pitbulls. I've been told pitbulls are going to be banned where I live soon too, and I'll be damned if anyone tries to take my fucking dog away from me, then again, I don't have a grow going on in my place really. My dogs vicious.. one time a little girl walked in my yard, and my killer vicious blue pit ran up to her at full speed.....and licked her.. big baby of course

Having worked at a vet clinic, I have met about a hundred vicious Chihuahuas and one mean pitbull. It is ridiculous. With the exclusion of one pit, all of them I have known have been extremely nice and just big babies, as ChronicHigh said. I would be more for the banning of Chihuahuas and Beagles than any other dogs. In my experience, those have always been the ones most prone to biting.

I have not met one that doesn't stop barking and many bite. They're pretty much useless and a nuisance LOL
Pit bulls can be the most calm and loving animals towards people. Some do hate other animals tho, it's amazing. I'd venture a guess that 99% of bad tempered pits is due to neglect and confinement as well as abuse....

My mom has a dachshund. At home, he is pretty chill. But I know exactly what you mean Jack. Dachshunds are prone to being dicks. No pun intended..well, maybe some what. Pretty much all small dogs are useless and are bred strictly as companion animals. Blech.

Yeah, Daisy's weiner dog is the nicest I have ever met. He has never been anything but a complete love to me. But he is useless. Can't even fetch the paper. I want a dog that is big enough to provide protection and be able to do anything I want it to do. Be it retrieving and finishing off a wounded animal, or wrestling with me. Too easy to smash a small dog. And by small I mean under 50 lbs. If it isn't tall enough to drink out of a toilet, I do not want it.
Can't understand why some people get their children a beagle or some other piece as their first dog. They are horrible dogs!! Especially around children, and children that have never had a dog before....well, that is just asking for a bite. Get your child a labrador.

The subject of this thread is a little innacurate since the story says the dude shot into the air, not at the officers.
Either way, a very bad idea to 1) own weapons if you have a grow op going, 2) shoot those weapons when people come near your property 3) shoot those weapons when officers come around your property.

GO HOME DUDE, pitbulls are not what their image portrays them as, i can rough house w my friends pitbull and just get really slobbered on, yet i went to my parents house and was playing with their BICHON (a tiny dog, mebbe a foot high and 2 long, wool instead of fur) and now i have a giant hole in my thumbnail, to me the lil ones are dangerous. Just like people.
A bouncer once told me, You never worry about the big guys, its the little guys that feel they have something to prove.

We need to stop calling them pitbulls, IMO (to the lame people its to aggressive for them) they are American staffordshire terrier, american bull terrier, and there are a couple others that belong in the same group I have the book but not on hand, (when I tell people I own an american staffordshire they give me the
look) I own an american staffie and he wouldn’t hurt a soul unless you started hitting me then you might be in for some trouble. But everyone I know that owns any dog will do the same.
Its really a bitch about these dogs, My wife was at work a couple weeks ago and watched as this rott jumped the fence and tackled the kid and bloodied up his arm, but did that make news NO anytime there’s a bully bread attack or problem its all over the news. Such bullshit!!!!

Calling a pitbull an AmStaf, Staff or anything else is like calling Nirvana Bubblicious the same as Serious Bubblegum. Can't do it. AmStaffs and Staffs or cleaner versions of the bully breed and shouldn't be confused with the 'street bred' dogs. That said, I gotta say that the papered bullies aren't as good for hunting anymore...seems they are breeding it out of them.
Back on topic.
When a fella brings a bully into his family he is responsible for it for the rest of its life. Shooting a gun into the air when the cops came wasn't responsible...and he just sentenced his dogs to death.
