sup guys.

So I got three plants in my closet and theyre flowering 12/12 for 2 weeks now. Today I changed the timer to 13/11 to speed things up a little (13h dark) but apparently the timer screwed up. I just checked and the lights are still on! thats 4 hours too much!

So whatll happen now? Can I still do something to...reduce the damage? Or is it okay because it only happened once?

Not a big deal, just go back to the normal schedule. You only lost a day. It takes weeks of light schedules to make a change to veg or flower stages.

Yep. Just pretend everything stayed normal & it'll probably turn out that way.

when that happens to me occasionally I just make sure they get 12hrs of darkness before the light comes back on. so basically the lights on period of the next day is just shortened up. the hormones that control flowering are produced in the darkness, so dark is more critical than light imo.

but it is doubtful that doing nothing but going about business as usual will be detrimental.

I did this when I first started flowering, the lights were supposed to go off at 9 a.m. but I didn't wake up until 12 p.m. so what I did was I left the lights off until 12 a.m. So they get there full 12 hours of darkness and then went back to my regular schedule so all in all I lost 3 hours of light but it didn't have any ill effects on my plants.

Meh. I figure a single irregularity in the photoperiod is completely insignificant. It'd be different If the timer had been set wrong for a period of several days or a week or if it stuck on for a similar period of time. Changes in plant chemistry due to photoperiod are quite tiny on a day to day basis & have to accumulate over time to make much difference.
