Shed, too hot in the summer?

I have an opportunity to have a ton of space to grow this summer. The problem is, that it is in a shed, and I live in a climate where it is hot for many months. So, what I am looking at is the inside temp of the shed will be roughly 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit from late April through late September. Now, I should not have an issue with airflow, I can get plenty of that going, but are the temps just too damn high? Ive read on here many times of people trying to keep the temps in the low 80's. And looking at being almost 20 degrees over that concerns me. I would really like to take advantage of this nice space, but if those temps are just too high, then Ill scrap the idea and keep my cab inside the house.

Thanks to anyone who answers.

with the lights your temps will be even higher. You will need to cool the lights. max air flow. Run them at night.... \\

I have everything I would need to grow in the summer but it's just to dam hot.. Instead of speanding the money on a huge PGE bill running 2 AC units I would rather just run 1 to keep me cool.. So I dont grow in the summer. I have plenty of bud to keep me satisfied until the the temps drop... Growing indoor in the summer is a PITA.....

My problem is, this is my first real attempt at getting my own system going. Im getting older, and dont have any access to good smoke, and the stuff I do run across can barely be considered cannabis. What I am looking at are 2 kitchen style cabinets modified for growing. I plan on doing a perpetual grow, giving myself just enough smoke to sustain myself and the Mrs. I am planning on my lighting to be CFL. I can certainly have these in the house, and not have to worry much about temps, but just having them outside in the shed would make things much easier on me, with the feeding, cutting and rooting clones, etc. The shed is really nice. If I have to grow inside I will though.

Way too hot, would have high overhead to keep it cool. cfl's inside sucks too! Look into something thats easy to cool but still puts out decent lumens. A 250 wt hps in a little cabnet or closet would be all you need to keep your lady and yourself medicated!

In order to work you would need an AC unit and running an AC unit in a 90-100 degree uninsulated shed is expensive.

My shed gets about 90 in the summer...get a good portable ac, I have it come on whenever it gets above 90...but I flower at night 8pm to 8am and have no need for ac at night....jus there in the day so my plants don't fry

it can be done but you need to insulate the shed with cellotex or similar, that keeps the temps a bit more even. to run a micro-grow in a cab in the shed you might get away with drawing air in from outside when its hot but then it'd be too cold in the winter.

Thanks for the input everyone. I had feared it would be too much heat. And running a unit just for this purpose is simply just not in my budget. Once late May to June hits, it will be 95+ degrees every day for the next 4-4.5 months. I suppose inside it is. I will just have to now put more focus into a carbon scrubber to keep the smells in check.

As far as my choice in lighting, I thought to go with CFLS now, as I have no experience growing at all, and I figured this would be the cheapest setup to learn with. All of my research has been on CFL so going with something different would be kind of stressful on me at this point. I plan on having this whole thing up and running by the end of next week.

Personally I am very nervous about this whole thing, I had no idea cannabis growing was so complicated and intricate. So many thoughts on the subject, so many ways to go, it has been very intimidating. What kind of ferts, what kind of medium, what kind of light, what style of grow, etc, etc. So many variables to work with. And not to mention worrying about how to get a hold of good seeds. That part has me worried the most as I really dont want to get popped over a couple little seeds.

Anyway, thanks again for the advice, I really do appreciate the help. This place is all I have for info on this whole thing, so I lurk often. :joint:
