Shared 6k room just getting started...

Ok... I've done a few grows in the past, many many strains... and have never really decided on one I want to focus on. Right now I'm still running a variety but I'm pretty sure I'm going to do lemon skunk by greenhouse, and either blue dream (CA cut,) or william's wonder by REZ.

We've done one grow in this room but we didn't have the A/C running, and the spider mites fucked us up bad last run. Medical grow w/3 people, 2 of them contributing work.

We split the materials, and the space.

10x13 room, 6X1000 watt galaxy, hortilux, 8''xxxl magnum reflectors, 10'' vortex&huge can filter, soon upgrading to 12'' can max fan and using the 10'' for my 24,500 btu A/C since 6'' wasn't enough...AND soundproofing my walls because there's a shared wall w/a neighbor haha... venting into the attic, making some duct mufflers too soon. I'm running a 3x6 table and my roommate's doing the same, and we're gonna each start another 4x4 in a month to stagger them.

Here is my canopy: there's hashplant and powerhouse mostly on the left, with powerhouse, OG kush, lemon skunk haze, and william's wonder IX-I on the right. My screen is different heights at each end because I've got the vegges all different sizes...1st run w/the screen tying down, it's working pretty well it seems.

Things are a little cramped, you can see the A/C and it's box&rigging, and the door... some tall babies!

And here's a broadshot of everything that's going now, standing where the 4x4's will be...

Everything is in 1.75 gal or larger containers, w/coco and perlite, house and garden nutrients. Still battling mites like a motherfucker.
This grow is ok, but my dream setup is 36 RDWC buckets in the same room.....& to own a house to grow in :D

Here is the one I'm thinking will be the mega-bitch out of the group, my william's wonder by reservoir at 10 days. She is tied down and stretched out to all hell.

She takes up all the bottom right screen.

Produced commercially for years, Predatory Mites (Phytoseiulus persimilis) are an effective biological control for use against the two spotted spider mite. These natural enemies do not bite people, feed on other insects or injure plants. Once released, they will immediately begin searching for food on the underside of leaves. Control of a light infestation should occur in two to three weeks. On heavier infestations a second release may be required.

On severely infested plants (webbing and feeding marks will be noticed) it is important that you reduce the pest infestation before releasing beneficial insects. Consider spraying with an insecticidal soap or other natural insect control. If only a few plants are infested, consider removing them.

P. persimilis does best in a humid environment of 60-90% and temperatures between 70-100 degrees F. The following release rates have been established:
• 1-2 per infested leaf
• 20-30 per medium sized plant
• 2,000 per 700 sq. ft.

get some predatory mites to attack your mites!....

Get some Safers Insecticidal soap, spray every leaf, top and bottom, and your mite problem will be gone. It is available a most every garden center and is so safe for humans that you could spray it in your mouth. It would taste nasty though, LOL!
Nice looking grow. Good work.

Yeah, I have heard safers & predators are good options... However this time I went with the A-bomb and dropped 3 no-pest strips in there for a while w/no ventilation. 9 days later there is no sight of them in the flower room, though they might be living somewhere on a veg... I will probably treat them again just in case. Cost me $20, no spraying. I just wore a respirator while I was in there (with the ventilation on while I was in there.)

Conditions are going to be shit until I get my walls soundproofed and the A/C going... it's like 85+ 24 hours right now.

Btw mist I am crimping the hell out of all my tops too :D

LOL, can you see the difference in the fullness of the plant yet? And as the the lower limbs get up to the canopy top are you crimping their top too?

By the look of things you are going to have a jungle anyway. SHould be a good harvest.

It's kind of hard to tell what the bushyness is from, because I've topped them (Accidentally,) and then tied them down and THEN crimped the tops... my biggest ones are bushy as all hell though, and I definitely like the method. It's useful to keep them from stretching too tall if nothing else, and I've heard it fattens up the tops although I haven't tested that..definitely doing the lower limbs as they come up too. :woohoo:

Fuck. You ever unplug your aerocloner to take clones out? Don't. Just take them out between sprays. I forgot to plug it back in and now I've got 30+ dead plant fetuses on my hands. I feel like jack the ripper.

Looks like I'm putting off staggering that other 4x4 for another harvest :wallbash:

that sucks... i've lost some but not all after leaving mine unplugged overnight... i put mine on the same power strip as the light above it so i turn off the strip thus turning off the light letting me know it's still unplugged... i figure if i leave it off again i'm just going to have to write a note like "Hey; stoner; plug me back in!" and tape it to the front of the machine

also i've found floramite to work great; i just spray before i flip to flower and no mite problems for over a year now... even outdoors which is crazy round these parts.. ebay is your friend for that stuff... safe for tomatoes.. i would stay away from avid personally; sometimes natural controls are not enough for an unnatural environment and with a compressed growing/flowering window you gotta do what you gotta do... i've heard good things about sucrashield though as a natural control that is a bit better than the soaps and is organic as well

are you using all the additives for h&g? do you reuse your coco?

What's up opt1c, I have used floramite in the past, and could swear that I coated every surface every 3 days like they had told me, in high concentrations, and the mites lived. The no-pest strips seem to have nuked them sufficiently though.

I use all the H&G additives, except when I run out of drip clean I probably won't use it again (it was a free sample,) because I don't use drippers and don't think I really need it. I do reuse coco, but I'm actually thinking about quitting doing that, because we are having nutrient issues (like always...)

I attribute this (maybe,) to: our tap water, us not leaving the tap water out 24 hrs, possibly not washing the coco well enough, possibly overferting, possibly ph? I really still am a noob... and this system is nowhere near what I want it to be because of a lack of $$$... someday though! I've got an R/O machine and EC/PH reader on my grocery list...gotta get out of debt first though haha. here is a pic of the nute problem...

And here is a pic of the booming corner at day 13... mostly william's wonder but it's hard to tell what's what in this pic. super lemon haze in the back... can't WAIT for those 2 to finish up, they are easily the biggest plants I've grown...

Sorry to hear about your clones. Just one of the trials and tribulations of growing stoned.

Check my thread and you will see that I too burned my girls a bit last week. These things happen and luckily cannabis is very hardy and will come back from many mistakes. I have been doing hyro for almost 12 years and still make mistakes sometimes, obviously or I wouldn't have over ferted my girls.

Super lemon Haze 1

and William's wonder 2

at 24 days. I've got 2 cuts of each I'm not sure how different they are though. Luckily a buddy of mine came through and gave me a bunch of free cuts for helping him out in his room & bringing beer so I will be set for next time and free to keep my william's wonder clones instead of having to flower them. I will most likely be converting to all william's wonder as soon as I can, unless I can get my lemon skunk to yield just as well (I doubt it.)

And here is William's wonder 1, and the whole canopy.

Think I will pull 2 lbs? 1 lb per light is my goal until I narrow down to 1-2 strains, then it will be 2 lbs per light (with A/C going of course...)

Oh yeah I'm pretty sure all that fuct up shit with my leaves is a phosphorous deficiency due to my ph being too high. I'm sure I've already fuct them this time but I will still try to knock the ph down for the last 4 weeks and get a ph meter next time probably...

Whas the size of your canopy? Also how do you like those magnums? I'am seriously considering them after seeing the light test that PICO did in another thread.
