Share your favorite "I wish it really existed" dreams! And hot chicks do NOT count, so think of something else---Sorry boys
I thought to post this after reflecting on some of my "out there" dreams that I wish actually existed, and I'm curious about yours. What have you dreamed up that you wished was real? A food, a place, an object, etc, etc.
I dream a lot about scenery, places that more than likely don't exist, re-arranged Planet Earth, i.e the continents are totally different and countries are in different spots, just some of the most gorgeous places my mind could possibly dream up.
In one dream, WolfSpider and I were driving through Florida. The shape of the state was pretty much the same, except it was wider and longer, and the Keys didn't exist. Oh yeah, and Tampa Bay didn't exist--no bay, no Pinellas County peninsula--wasn't there. This area (Tampa Bay down to around Englewood, FL) was instead dotted with inlets, tiny islands---some in bays with boardwalks out to them, HUGE bridges out to larger islands. One bridge was so high up, you could see a good hundred miles inland, all the way to the mountains. Yes, mountains. For some reason, my dreams always depict Florida with huge, majestic mountains, with vegetation not unlike what's in Hawaii's tropical forests. The water was a crystal clear Caribbean blue (always is) It was so beautiful to look at. We drove across the bridge to the island, and parked in a nearby parking lot, and decided to walk around. This island resembled Key West with the architecture and atmosphere, but almost looked like a cross between the photos I've seen of Amsterdam and photos of St. Lucia's little towns---Hard to comprehend, but it was gorgeous.
Another one I dream about from time to time is being in Australia---Except it's a long, thin stretch of land that encircles half of the southern half of the planet. It's a tropical paradise in the dreams, just a few feet above sea level, and less than 2 miles wide at it widest---and as narrow as a few feet of dry land to walk on in some places at low tide. It's a sandy, breezy palm tree studded paradise, the weather's always the perfect temp, the sun's always out, few clouds in the sky, never any rain except for a brief drizzle near sunset. Oh man, just picturing it makes me want to be there The Aussies are always barefoot, and look at the shoe-clad tourists like they're insane, and no one thinks anything of strolling through the narrowest parts of Australia that're under water at high tide to get where they need to go. It's only ankle deep anyway Cars are banned, the only transportation is by boat, either a ferry-type boat, or personal kayak or canoe. If you want to kick back and relax, look for an empty hammock---they're everywhere. Or you can spread out a blanket on the beach (which seems like it's never-ending) and let the tiny, rolling waves lap at your toes.
There's always a couple of trips a year to my "Dreamland Amusement Park". This is a coaster freak's DREAM COME TRUE! Except, it's just a damn dream....
In that dream, the park is just roller coasters only, about 30 of them. Except for the children's section, which is an enormous playground. I'm always running for my favorite coaster first thing as soon as I'm in the front gate--Oh, and there's no ticket charge, the place is totally free, food included! The only thing you pay for is the souvenirs. The place is lush with tropical vegetation, in some places, so thick it blocks the sun. There's the bridge over the 'gator pond, a little boardwalk thing with no sides. A little creepy because it sways a bit, but the 'gators never bother anyone unlucky enough to fall in. The coasters fuckin' freak you out, because there's no seatbelts or restraints, so you're holding on for dear life---but it's so damn fun If you time it just right, you can hold on the the metal bar headrest in front of you, and swing from one coaster's car into the car of another coaster passing on an adjacent track. Talk about a rush! When I've ridden all the coasters, I go to the kids' playground, and climb up the tube slides, bounce around the rope net crosswalks, swing & jump from the swings, etc. I guess it's really just a dream to amuse my inner kid
Occasionally, I dream about taking a cruise with Wolf & my family. The ship is big--really big, about the length of 3 football fields, and made entirely of glass. Yes, glass. It's carpeted, and tiled in some areas, and some walls have cloth drapes to create privacy, especially in the cabins, but the whole ship structure is made of glass. It's beautiful, you can walk through the public areas of the ship, and everywhere you look is gorgeous, there's spectacular ornate glass staircases shimmering in the light, glittering chandeliers, the entire atmosphere of the dream screams with laid-back top-notch luxury.
I've also dreamed of being on an alien space station just above an alien planet, doing an "ionospheric sky dive." THAT was different! The view of the green land below, and the blueish-purple oceans, it was spectacular....Unfortunately, as soon as I landed, I woke up. I'd like to dream that one again, just to do the dive again.
My favorite dream is out there...Waaaay out there. In the dream, I'm able to control my size, and able to control how I travel through deep space---on the sub-atomic level. I went from one end of the universe to the other, observing an infinate variety of everything the universe and everything in it is made of on the tiniest levels. I stood at the Event Horizon of a Black Hole and peered into it, watching a new level of existance peer back at me. As I looked in there, I knew I hadn't explored the smallest of the smallest anything yet. I knew there's things much, much smaller than we'd ever found, and ever theorized. I walked on the surface of a dying star preparing to go supernova, feeling it heave and shudder. I danced through a colorful cloud of aimlessly wandering gases, froze a comet in it's spot and in time to touch it---it was bitterly cold, but warmly welcoming, grainy, yet soft. I came across pulsating masses of something I just can't describe any better than dark, yet glowing with light, heavy, yet easy to lift, burning hot, but never burned my hands. I shrank down and filled my hands with DNA of creatures from across the universe, and blew the pile out of my hands like powder, like I was "seeding" the universe. I enlarged myself and watches galaxies spin in the distance, swam through inter-galactic "water" (I can't for the life of me even begin to describe that one) I friggin' love having this dream. I wish I dreamed it more often than I do.....
Go ahead, share what you've dreamed up---Never know who you might inspire
