SF Bay Area Biotech job - Drug test?

Hi all,
I'm a chemistry major, and I just graduated, and am now applying to jobs in the biotech industry in the san fran bay area. Does anyone have experience applying in the same sector/area? I've interned around here once, and they verbally asked if I could pass a drug test, and since I said yes, I was never given a test, and it was made clear that unless there was an issue or fuckup, no test would be given. Is this fairly common?

I've been thinking of getting some synthetic urine so that it won't be an issue, has anyone had experience with synthetic urine? if so, what specific brand?

I have used the synthetic piss about 10 years ago and it worked great. I have heard of people on here who carry it with them every day to work in case of a random.

My particular job, there was only one chance for them to drug test us, and even then we had 30 min notice with freedom to roam around, I actually had to go out to my car and get my fake piss after they announced they were going to give everyone drug tests.
