It depends on many things but generally 50% or more of plants under 18 hours of light will show sex in the 6-8 week range.
Some sativas wont show for many weeks after put into flowering.
What works for me is to veg plants until a suitable sized cutting is available, take cutting to root at the same time as putting plant into flower. Original plant will show sex as cutting roots.
If the clone fails the slightly flowering plant can be cloned a second time.

Quickest way to determine sex I know of is to take cuttings and flower them under 12/12 lighting. With good conditions and genetics, you should be able to take a cutting at less than 3 weeks, month at the outside.
2 weeks you'll most likely know sex and have re-veg clones as a bonus.
