sexing at 3 weeks of veg?

i have 8 healthy northern lights (nirvana) babies at week 3 of veg under a 250 watt hps 24 hours a day. today i noticed what looked like a male preflower on one of the plants and looked closer and found a couple others on different nodes. i checked the other plants and was suprised to find female preflowers (with dual white hairs) on many of the plants...

after inspecting all of them i had one male (almost for sure), 3 females (with definate white hairs visible to the naked eye, and even more apparent magnified), 2 others that have the beginnings of preflowers but are too early to tell, and 2 with no sign of sex yet...

is this normal!!!??? i thought it would be much later in veg, and possibly into flowering until i could tell...is nl known to show sex early? am i just seeing things? any thoughts?

Well if you are sure in what you see, then you get what you have.. I wish I could remember if mine pre-flowered early in veg or not, damn it was not that long ago that I grew this same strain, or I think it was, pretty sure, maybe not, but just go with it, you will ok.....Peace, Nofind

Easiest way to be sure is to take a cut from each, put in a cup of water and put under 12/12. The plants will live long enough to truely show sex.

Depends on the strain and growing conditions, but I suppose it's possible for plants to show sex at 3 weeks. Mine usually give it up at between 5 and 8 weeks, again, depending on the strain.

It's hard to mistake those white hairs for anything else, so like nofindtime says, if you're sure that's what they are, proceed accordingly. Are the plants showing alternating nodes yet? That's another sign that they're sexually mature and ready to preflower.

The longer I grow, the earlier I seem to be able to sex plants via preflowers. My recent grows I saw bubblicious preflowers around the 3rd week.
