Setting up my scrog

Hey all, setting up for my first run here with AK47 x Grand Daddy Purp. I'll be using a 600 watt light so figured that a 3x3' screen would give me the most ideal light coverage from that size bulb. I'm planning on running an 8 week veg to keep my numbers down until I get all the medical paperwork squared away, I'm looking for some input as far as plant count under each light. I'm really on the fence because its a branchy sativa mixed with a bushy little indica, so who knows what pheno is going to dominate. Anyway, I was guessing 3-4 plants should do the trick, what do you all think?

but if hydro dwc in particular 30 day veg ,screen at 8 inces or so should fill it nice with that strain imo.if soil i would doulble that number, if coco same as dwc maybe 40 day veg

I'll be using a Promix/coco blend in large rubbermade containers, hand watering with Earth Juice organic nutes. I really just want to keep the numbers down, instead of 20 plants for the normal veg cycle I'd feel a lot safer running 3-4 and growing them to a point where I could pull a lb+ off this small number. I'll have 3 tents set up to supply a harvest every 6 weeks or so. The end goal is the caregiver license, so I'm trying to build a perpetual system of low numbers and higher yields

i run dwc .4 plants under a 1k can easily hit 1 pound with a 30 day veg under a 1k mh

After looking at other grows I would veg 4weeks and then flower. They can reach upto 3ft tall indoors and with a 3x3 space in mind you might find it getting tight. I'm wondering why not grow them out regular and just have 4 really nice tall plants? If the out door grows get close to 5+oz's I would think to try and set the grow up like normal. Just my opinion.

jm420- I'm def shooting for a dwc system down the road, just have to stick with soil for this run since I'm moving into a new place and will need time to build / fund such a system. I do have a couple 1k's kicking around, was kinda juggling the idea of 3 x 600 or 2 x 1000. What type of canopy control / training are you running? I'm not exactly shooting for the moon here, with a rushed start, new place, new strain and nutes... I'd be happy with a lb off a 1k light

kooldave67- as far as growing tall... it's just been my opinion that screen training one plant to produce several large colas is a more efficient use of space that growing it tall, since artificial light indoors is going to be coming down vertically and only penetrate the top 18" of the canopy, so if you have a 4' plant not much is happening on the bottom. Now if it was outdoors than by all means grow it tall, the natural sunlight hits it from all angles and you'll be looking at a monster!
