Separate veg and flower hydro setups?

I have been growing for a short time (only a few smallish harvests under my belt) and i have made the switch to hydro. I have had some small success, but now i am looking to get my grow in order.

My main question is if i am vegging my plants in a small ebb and flow setup can i transfer them to DWC for flower?

Would it behoove me to transplant into DWC and let them veg for another week or two?

OR

would i be better off letting my plants veg in dwc and then just move them into my flower tent and flower them in dwc as well?
Any help would be great

Yea you can move them to dwc. if you dont have a chiller stay ebb&flow. You got to keep your nute temp 68-72.

OK, great.

My main concern is the fact that once they go into the dwc to flower, that id have to wait a while for the roots to grow and end up in the water.

I assume ur growing in rockwool? Just set up your buckets so the mist from your airatone is spraying the bottom of your net basket. I like to put down a 1"-2" layer of clay pellets first becuase you dont want the RW absorbing to much moisture and staying soaked. After transplant just hand water the RW once. As it dry's out the roots will grow down into ur bucket.

i actually clone in vermiculite, then transplant into lava rocks in 5.5 sq inch pots in an ebb and flow. Once they are a good height, (about four weeks of veg) i want to put them into 6 inch net pots for DWC.

This will actually be my first run doing this. I was really just hear what people had to say as far as any pitfalls that i may fall victim to.
