Sent duplicate packages

This might be off topic, but I could use some advice...
I pre-ordered some merchandise and received it yesterday. I took a good loss on the product. Anyhow, today a duplicate package showed up at my door. I havent been charged twice or anything and the site only shows one order placed. Its not a grow related company.
The package I recieved today matches up with the tracking info I was provided from the site. The one that I got yesterday was a day before I expected the product. However, it was a pre-order and I received it a few days after the actual release date and was affected by that.
Can they charge me again if I signed for todays package? Yesterdays package didnt require a signature and was just left on my door step.

Depends on your morality--
If you don't have an issue with taking one for free...take it and deny getting the first--
If you do mind, then send one back--
No Judging...just the options--:tiphat:

Yesterday you didn't find anything on your doorstep and anything who says otherwise is crazy. Or at least thats what you can say now if they ask, considering no one signed for it. It could've been scooped up by some random passerby.

Personally, I'd keep it. It's not like your average store is going to punish someone for this mistake. If it's Diablo III like the dude above said, then I can't see amazon.ca or whatever even noticing this. Free stuff!

It was a $1400 order and I got creamed. Im thinking I have to keep it just because I got screwed.
I once paid a guy $1250 cash for a compressor and he gave me two. I called him and gave the second one back. No good karma has come back my way and I didnt even get a bigger discount on my next purchase form them or anything.

Karma usually doesn't come back to you in the ways you expect it. :D

Call them up and let them know you recieved two orders. Ask them if they're willing to send you a pre-paid shipping box/crate/whatever.

I wouldn't pay any shipping but I would check to see if they wanted it back. You'd be surprised how many times they won't do it.

We all get creamed on pricing at times...... deal with it? :D

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

if its a small company, i tend look out for them alot more. now if its amazon or walmart or something along those lines, fuck'em

lol, if you call them up, i think they are going to want the $1400 in stuff back...

Did you know you were taking a hit on the price when you ordered it?

If you wanted whatever it was badly enough, and paid the price knowing you were paying too much, is it the fault of the company you made that purchase?

If you sold something to someone, and accidentally shipped two instead of one, how would you handle it?

Reverse the roles and of seller and purchaser and think it over. Then make up your mind.

I'm not telling you to keep it or send it back. I'm telling you to consider the issue from all sides and then decide.

Heres where it gets even better. Follow me...
I pre ordered a product that has two different versions released. They are somewhat similar each year. 2 days before release date the company released new info on the product and the line I purchased got shafted big time. The other version got a huge boost by that info that was released while the product I ordered tanked big time.
True, its my fault and I would feel better if I let them know. With that said, I got screwed so bad I cant make that move.
I was also screwed over on a redemption deal because of all of the BS and lost out on another $400 to boot on top of that.
Im so pissed that I feel like no matter what I do Im getting shafted anyway...

the law says anything shipped to you without you asking for it is yours to do with as you please. you got what you paid for, then you got another one for free. bonus points.

Man, that is rotten luck. Do they have a return policy for damaged goods? If so, lift package above head, drop on pavement. Repeat as necessary.

Play stupid on the package not signed for.

As for my previous statement, that was only meant to make you use a rational approach and not one clouded by anger.

Sounds to me like you were the victim of shady advertising and marketing and you are probably justified.

Screw 'em.

Maybe a phone call to the company would help you out? What did you buy? You may be able to return both shipments and buy what you want?

Honesty is always the best policy. You can't pick and choose when to be honest based on circumstance.

Call and ask for help. If no help is given return one item and learn a lesson.

Its a product I make money on every year. This time I ordered online instead of dealing direct with my local supplier. I saved a few bucks but got screwed. Its too late to get in on the other product as it has doubled in price since my initial buy in. Whats worse is that even with 4 of these I wont get back my initial investment on 2 this time.

bestbuy did the same thing to my friend...he went and paid cash in store for an $1800 TV on a monday. they scheduled delivery for wednesday. on tuesday he decides he wants the TV now, so he goes back in store with his paperwork and they let him take his TV home...he sets it up and is chilling wednesday when a best buy truck pulls up and drops off a duplicate TV...

so then he hit me up and i traded him 6 ounces of og kush for the TV....now im rockin a brand new 55in 3d panasonic flat screen hahah....its been a few months and hasnt heard anything from best buy...someone at bestbuy F-ed up! most retail companies have a set loss of 10% just for shrinkage/losses so dont feel bad....
