Sensi Seeds Reliability/stability

I used to order all of my seeds from sensi and though they were top shelf, but my last 3 orders wereterible. Femmed seeds that had males, heries and females, regular seeds in a femmed pack.

I had zero germination for my last order of Jack flash AND I USE A PROFESSIONAL GERMINATOR. Every seed always pops. I havent had more than 1 seed in a pack for years and every seed of the other 2 strains popped so........


Question: Are sensi seeds good enough nowadays to order 2 seeds and get a good represention of the plant? I want try out superskunk

I just popped Sensi Super Skunk, Sensi skunk and Jack herer and so far they are looking great but it will be a few weeks before i know the quality. All are fem and have some stank already in veg. I get 100% germ in damp paper towel in ziplock bags for 48 hours.This method gets 100% germ rates for me. No heat mat..

They used to have bad germination rates, but it's been quite a while since I ordered their stuff so I don't know the situation now.

I grew their super skunk. It wasn't the skunk I was hoping for. But they were uniform. Almost let a male slip through (sexed it wrong I guess). It got about 10x10 before I noticed nuts all over it. I was sad to cut it down.

I'm growing 2x Super Skunk from Sensi now. I'm at week 3 of flower at the min.
I know that the pack of 3 Superskunk were all white seeds. I expected better from such a well known company.

1 of the 3 were pulled out of the pot by a bird I think, so they did all pop.
They both look nice at the min tho, i'll know more about the quality in the coming weeks. I'm hoping for the taste of the Superskunk I tried in the UK in the 90's.

My friend has opened a grow shop now, and sells loose seeds. He lets me pick the best looking ones, so my Critical Jack, and White Widdow came from the best of the batch.

I am always looking for good quality seeds, so I would love to hear any recomendations for a quality seed company.

I actuall has a similar problem with white seeds from barneys, and I got them in the coffee shop.

Thats pretty crappy.

They really should get on their game if they are going to continue to command such a high price tag for their dated strains.

Sometimes I wonder how they stay in business with their poor reputation and some of the highest prices in the industry.

i was a dedicated forum user on the sensi website since 2006, i know lots of people that only grow sensi and they never have any trouble although when i did purchase seeds from them i didnt have the best results but i put that down to my screwing up some where. i did have 100% germ rate over 20 seeds. i picked them up from the store in amsterdam.

what i would do OP is jump onto there forum and post up a thread complaining about this. i have seen them reshipping seeds to people that complained but they were active forum users.

I grew their NL x Haze in the early 90's and it was Awesome.

Also their G13 x Hashplant around maybe 2000. She was Awesome.


I forget the history. Started with Neville Schoenmaker and then those brothers started running it ?

The one on the left and the plant on the right are Superskunk. They have been veging longer than the others, so I tied them down to keep them the same hight in the grow room.

No tricomes yet, but they are looking good.

they are looking good indeed. are they outside just for the photo op or are you augmenting grow room light with spells outside?

Using the sun when ever I can, they are normally in the tent for 4 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. Then 8 hours of Sun.
Stretched them out a bit more yesterday with strings, to let more light into the leafs in the middle, the 6 now almost fill my 1.5mx1.5m tent.
Tricomes are starting a little too now, just got my fingers crossed for the oldskool skunk smell, not had it for years..

pretty common knowledge that just about all their lines have gone to shit.

Some people say the mli is still good, don't really rate it myself though.

Crap! Thats what I was planning on picking up on my move to Spain. What are other dutch genetics worth checking out? I'm driving from Poland to Spain - so anything along the way is worth checking out!

Quick update on Sensi Seeds Superskunk.
Yesterday I gave a regular bloom feed, with suplements and micro nutrients, all organic.
Today I noticed alot of tricomes that seem to have appeared over night, but just on 1 plant, and it is one of the Superskunk. Nice smell on the stem too. Feeling very optimistic about this now

I had good luck with the Jack Flash(fem) and G13xhashplant. G13xhashplant never seemd like a g13 though. Was really tall. Have heard very good reviews about their Skunks.
As far as germination rate goes had following results from Sensi in last 2 years

15 out of 15 JackFlash (Fem pack) germinated. One was full on male though. No hermies in rest.

9 out of 10 NLxhaze germinated. No hermies.

5 out of 5 G13xhashplant(Regular) germinated. All were females. No hermie problems either.

The big bud I bought a long time ago, when they had 16 seeds in a pack, they were all pale seeds, which means they weren't fully mature.
I remember I ended up with 2 females out of the 16, and I don't remember getting any males, so 2 out of 16.
I don't know how they can sell immature seeds, they should know to leave them growing till they mature properly.
Maybe they wanted to get them out quick to make the money.
Either that or I was sold knockoffs from a backyard pollen chucker.

I have had mixed results over the years with the overpriced Sensi seeds.

I have tried early girl, guerillas gusto, jamaican pearl, super skunk, mothers finest. Out of those the only 2 that we're good are super skunk and mothers finest.
The super skunk was very uniform but not that skunky more afghani smelling, average buzz. Mothers Finest had alot of variation between plants ranging from indica to stretchy sativa, buzz was very potent grew that back in 2004.

Some packs had great germination rates while other had only 2-3 seeds sprout. Ordered directly from them early 2000-2004 period.

Not the most reliable considering the high prices...

You won't get that old school smell. I was hoping to as well then discovered that it was bred out of it.
I have been able to find that old skunk smell in some bc roadkill skunk from cannicopia seeds tho.

Thanks Jackel, i'll look into that for my next start. I'm think i'm going to spend a bit more on seeds for next time, and do alot more research.

A quick update on the Superskunk from Sensi.

All 6 of my plants are getting close to finish. The 4 I got from a grow shop have come out beautifull got big buds and all smell amazing, and they only cost me €17.50 for 5 seeds.

One of the Superskunk smells a little fruity, and the other just smells like green plant, they both have plenty tricomes but the buds are very small on the skunk compared to my other plants and they also seem to have less time to finish than the others when I checked with the micro. And these cost €22.50 for 3 seeds. I wouldn't reccomend these seeds to anyone. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

I dont know about other seeds from sensi, but they sent me crap Superskunk.
