Sensi Seeds Gear

I have not grown out any Sensi Seeds stuff yet but I bought 2 packs of their Black Domina back in '07 (via Alien).
Does anyone know if these would be before or after Sensi dropped their quality?
Not meaning to hijack your thread Quitters... Your question simply got me concerned about those expensive packs of beans.

I've read the bad reviews from the last few years... can't offer much in that regard because I don't have any experience with Sensi prior to 2000-2001 when everyone seems to agree they had better stock.

That said, I ran some Super Skunk beans last fall and they produced two really sweet females and a couple really nice looking males. Granted, it's only been one 10 pack and Super Skunk seems hard to mess up, it's still been a positive experience.

Here's the indica-leaning lady, finishes in 8.5-9 weeks, smells like a bag of skittles on the vine but dries/cures into a funky skunk stank, very interesting. Much more potent than I thought it'd be, she's a day wrecker but come bed time she's a go to smoke.

The sativa leaner, not as special as the one above but she was still really nice.

Sensi Mr Nice (G13/HP) was rather disappointing. It wasn't bad, just not as potent as I'd hoped. I still crossed it with Blue Moonshine, those offspring were more to my liking.

I grew Maple Leaf Indica a few years back. I was very happy with it. Very consistent, potent and tasty. My understanding is this one of their offerings that hasn't gone downhill, but I haven't grown it recently.

I did a pack of domina (from '08) a few months ago and it is mostly shit. 1 girl was decent enough, taste like black pepper & curry, but nothing special. Also it seems to rot easier than other varieties, yield was fairly heavy and dense which may be why they nearly all rotted.

Shiva skunk is good though, did one from the pack and it was similar but better than the c99 ive got running, im running the rest right now. Had ago at maple leaf a few years back, it was alright, makes some very caramel tasting hash.
Ran 1 mr. nice which was smooth but lacked real taste. Did 2 afghani #1 which was shitty, compared to what it used to be. Also had 2 California Indica which yielded well but was nothing special.

I've got some hindu kush (from kiwi which is supposed to be old sensi) & super skunk to try, hopefully these will fair better. Shiva skunk was the best so far.

I wouldnt buy their femmed seeds. The pack of femmed Early skunk i bought in april had 4 females and 3 males in it. They are also skunk 1 seeds and not early skunk, so the 4,(outdoor) females are about 4 weeks from maturity. Early Nov finsish, how's that for "early"?

I went to Amsterdam back in like 97 or 98 and bought 20 Black Domina and 20 maple leaf indica and chose good phenos of both. The domina was a good strain that I decided to let go and the MLI was a heavy yeilder but zero taste.

I had very good results from senis's super skunk and shiva skunk and less than average results from their jack herer, northern lights and G-13/Hashplant all packs being bought in the last 2-3 years...

I'm growing sensi mexican sativa right now and I like how she's doing........I grown the same strain 7-8 years ago........so I would see if it's the same great smoke!!!!

I grow shiva shanti II and an indoor mixed pack from sensi ......nothing bad to say about them!

I'm in a similar boat ... was considering getting some of the feminized seeds though because I dont plan on doing any breeding anytime soon with my limited resources. Will have to see how it plays out I guess ... I hope I get atleast one nice lady.

Grew some of their Afghani #1 two years ago. Sucked.

Growing out some Jack Herer atm and out of ten, got 2 respectable females. Not pleased thus far.

Won't buy more. They never got innovative with new gens. Still selling the same ol shit. How fresh could their stock be?

I loved their Jack Herer, from only a few months ago.

Why would Sensi need to innovate, how do you innovate in breeding? Muddy an already established line? I think they're old shit is pretty good, and don't see how adding new-but-no-better genes like OG KUSH would help their bottom line. These guys are serious breeders, I can assure you, as I've had direct communications with them.

And their stock is fresh, they still breed the crosses and re-distribute seeds, it's not like they do it once every 5 years.

I've grown out great strains and gotten shitty phenos, so I'm not knocking your post, I'm just saying you won't find a breeder more dedicated and knowledgeable than those at Sensi, there is no such thing.
