Is this senescence and is it something I can correct and/or should worry about?
I have about 22 Dutch Power Plants left after yanking males and weaklings, all started from seed, growing in DWC 5 gal drain to waste using House & Garden nutes with Cal-Mag in RO water at ph 5.8 to 6.1 changed weekly. This is my first grow. After I applied "Top Booster" for 36 hours during flower week 5, I started to notice what I believe is senescence on about 5 or so plants. I am now in week 6 (2.5 weeks to go +/-) and applying shooting powder (at EC 1.2). I started to notice the yellowing or senescence about 3 days after I first started the "Top Booster" application which was last week). I have had this (senescence) before in fruit crops I have grown, always just before harvest with no ill effects on the harvest. But, this crop is all new to me and I wish someone would tell me by the pics (3 of what I think is senescence and 1 of normal plants in same row) if this is cause for concern, and if so, what can i do about it if anything. Will it hasten maturity and or cause crop shortages, or is it just genetic since all my plants are from seed and there is no pattern within the same rows?

Please offer your opinions if you have one.

It is senescence but that is a very broad term afaik.

As long as the leaves that are yellowing are mostly towards the bottom of the plant, that tells us that the plant is moving nitrogen and other energy stores from the leave itself to the plants buds or other fastly growing areas.

All very normal activities for that late into flower.

Your plants look good sir.

Well it started towards the bottom but several plants are now yellowing at the tops also. i don't suppose there is anything I can do at this late date but from my current observations, I have developed an opinion. The plants that are showing senescence are the 3 or 4 most mature plants in the room. From what I see now, I think these more mature plants were hit with the "Top booster" and now the "Shooting Powder" about 10 days later in their cycle while the other plants, not showing any yellowing or senescence were probably hit on schedule (as they seem to be taking all the new nutes in stride and are responding very well), which I now think is entirely possible since I am dealing with varying genetics since all came from seeds. Is this a plausible assumption Capn?

If so, next cycle from clones of the mothers i am preparing should cure some of these ills.
Thank you for your response.

its good your plants look like that, you want your leaves to die as your near up flowering, a 1.5 weeks, give no more nutes and completely rid the plant of nitrogen for a nice smoking

Yea Grape, sounds like you hit the nail on the head. Genetics do play a role in nutrient uptake.

I wish you the best!
