One tax dead in the water and now its time for AB2243 to be dropped. No taxation without representation. No taxes for the profligates in Sacramento, all tax money to go for Cannabis Cancer Research. The Democrats took a state that was ranked 7th in the world by the size of their economies and made it a Banana Republic with people leaving the state in the millions. No more tax money for these people, they are wastrels.

Senator McGuire's SB 987, which seeks to enact a 10% state tax on medical marijuana failed to pass through the Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee on June 20 by a vote of 5-4. Sen. McGuire can ask the committee for reconsideration.
AB2243 (Wood), which would impose a a new $9.75/ounce tax on the cultivation of medical-only marijuana, is heading for a hearing in the Senate Governance and Finance Committee on June 22.
