Seltzer water sprayed on leaves?

Just as the title states everyone, I read this in one of Ed's guides and it says that seltzer water sprayed on the plant has yielded good results because its giving the plant good c02. Is this true?

If so then is there any best select brand of seltzer water?
Also if true, is it good to spray with seltzer far into veg state?

Thanks

Dude, youre gonna get lots different opinions on this subject but i will tell you from EXPERIENCE that i notice a difference in the appearence of the leaves when i sprayed them with selzter water. They seemed brighter and very "perky". Who knows though, maybe i wanted to believe that i saw a diference?
Use the selzter that has no sodium. Sodium is salt, not good.
Try it, it sure as hell doesnt harm them.

Sorry for the double post but i forgot to mention that when i sprayed my plants i poured the selzter water in a spray bottle. Also, use it as soon as you open it, doesnt do squat if its flat. And of coarse, not too cold , not too warm.

i doubt it wil lhurt but the benefit will be negligible. the benefits of CO2 supplementation are only seen when the levels of CO2 are high and helf at that high level stabily. so spraying the plants with seltzer water will do little to nothing.

It should show results very fast if it works, but I bet its only temporary.

good responses. Opinions are welcomed. People with good results - how many times a day do you spray? Has anyone put any seltzer in soil?

oops, my fault on that, stupid question but it happens.

Anyway, is it worth it? If not then would someone direct me towards a more efficient method of adding c02 without spending an arm and a leg?

thanks a plenty

depends on what you consider an arm and a leg. a tank isnt really that much. but if thats too much they have those bio buckets which i think would show some benefit over setlzer water.

If you're looking for some different ideas.....try Penetrator (Dutch Masters) and a good fooliar feed. I have used this with great success.

Seems to me that atomizing the water as it is sprayed would release the CO2 from the water. Giving them a bath with a plain water spray every once in a while between foliar feedings is good for them while in veg.

Nah bro dont waste ur money
I did this, noticed pretty much no difference.

The seltzer cantsupply more co2 than whats already in the air for longer than a minute or two.. then it just disapates (which is why u need a tank/co2 system to get true results)

After using co2 enrichment literally for years and finally getting it right I can say for sure there are so many variables for enrichment to be effective that the use of seltzer would just totally be a waste of time.Co2 should be the last thing you concentrate on after learning everything about it you can and getting your environment "co2 friendly".When you have a minimum of 50 watts a sq ft of hortilux HPS,a dehumidifier, temperature control in a "sealed" environment, then you should be thinking about a tank and regulator with controller or a propane or NG co2 generator with controller.Any other methods of co2 enrichment arent worth your time.Yeast, paintball guns, seltzer,it's all useless

think of CO2 as the best nutritional supplent you can give your plant. its just that a supplement so with everything else great and good ventilation you will do great. with CO2 its like giving a good athlete steroids (bad analogy but u get the point). get everything else right first then use CO2 if you dont it wont do shit.

Thats a pretty good analogy actually, you can give an out of shape, unhealthy person steroids and it wont improve his performance.Same with plants,if they are in an inadequete environment or basically unhealthy,co2 enrichment wont have a positive affect on them
