Seeking some advice

Hi. Im new, but not to the hobby. I was a hobbiest for 15 years or so, spent most of the time breeding

I tend to be long winded and deviate from one subject to another, please ahve patience

I have a simple question to start

The first is ettique? is it cool to talk about nutes (brands) here? or is it shunned on? I have some questions about what I use now (which has made a big difference for me) and transitioning to a compatable brand.

Upon suggestion of a local hydroponics equipmment dealer I started using advanced nutrients sensi formula. In the past I have used GH & Ionic. I have not been able to peform a functional side by side comparison of the main formulas. I am sure the main components are similar and probaly perform in a close range. Unfortunaly he closed his doors and I do not want to contact him directly

I normally never buy what i cant get in person with cash.

however one of the AN speciality products made a world of difference

One product Jumpstart (which is cheap in AN terms) cut my cloning time from 10-14 days for visable roots in 7-8 days

I tried using it as a foliar stimulant on a ebb and flow mom with deteriorating root ball and within days it had amazing robust root regeneration unlike anything I have experienced

many places will not deal with AN because of the marketing stigma

I am not worried about changing the primary formula as much as being able to substitute the specailty product that has proven successful

So my big question is are there any products that are comprable?


Other than the Jumpstart the other enhancements are very expensive and I cant say I see a dramtic difference in their use, but the jump starts influence was undenyable

Has anyone elses made this type of transition with success?

does anyone else use anything other than core nutrients in their regime?

I know other variables as such as gentices play a huge role (thus the meaning behind my user ID)

i use liquid karma, diamond necture, sweet, pure blend pro grow and bloom seaweed extract and dry indonesion guano. fox farm ocean forrest soil city tap water thats sits open for min 8 hrs for cloriene to evaporate.

I use Promix BX, Pure Blend Pro grow and bloom, Liquid Karma, Grotek Bloom booster, and good old molasses. I also use tap water that has been sitting for a while

No complaints with my results

Water straight out of the tap has always worked good for me. I tried distilled, dehumidifier water, spring water and also tap water that sit for a day and I seem to get the best results from regular tap water. Most worked identical, except for the distilled. Just my experience, but my tap water might be considered better than average and I know we do not use too much chlorine.
