seeds wont sprout.

bought some jack herer and rock bud seeds and got haze x skunk freebies. put seeds in a jar of water and waiter for seeds to pop . its been about 5 days now and no sprouts ,only some slimy shit in the jar with the seeds and water. what gives . did i do something wrong??
i only did 5 of each seed .

idk,i personally like using the paper towel method,as i havent had much luck just dropping them in water.....but they should germ if they'er good seeds....

i think,most people soak they'er seeds for a day or two and then switch them to paper towels,

your seeds might have "drowned" from being underwater so long,

put them in damp paper towel in a plastic baggie for a few days and hope for the best. Change the towel daily so it doesn't get funky.

since the weather is really nice right now i like putting them in a pot outdoors and let them pop. way to small for any fly over or some to just take notice. give them a week out doors and transplant to what ever you like to use to grown in Hydro etc.

man thats sweet ,thanks for the info . i bought the seeds from a reputable dealer , seed boutique,
i had 10 of each seeds and 5 freebies. i soaked 1 of each seed for about 4 day then put those in a paper towel . then soaked 4 more seeds and then put those in a paper towel and now still waiting .
i guess ill put the others in soil to see what happens .

seeds need a "constant" temp of at least 70 degrees and kept moist. to get optimum germ rate.

The paper towel method is what I use, but i'm convinced that some seeds are just old or no good and are not going to sprout no matter the method used. Just buy several different varieties from several different companies and hopefully most should be ok. I've always had great results with reservoir seeds, probably because they seem to sell so fast they aren't sitting around for long.

I also use the paper towel method but I also use a heating pad they need to e kept warm while germinating. I had the same issue a few times and I think it's old stock. I was getting my seeds from seed Boutique and lost alot of moy with them Germination rate was very bad out of 40 seeds none of them poped. I get all of my Seeds from here http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/ They rotate there stock every 60 days. I just got 1500$ of seeds from them.(came with 8 free seed packs the super skunk and G13 Ice) I started some Soma samago super skunk and Ice
all of the soma poped most of the G13 Ice poped and only 1 super skunk poped. So that is alot better then before. Im Going to start to make my own seeds very soon you just can't get any fresher then your own.

i used to just soak rock wool cubes, and just throw the seeds in, just switched to soil so i figured id do the same, im using one of lcs soiless mixes minus the ewc but plus some miracle grow blood meal, hope they pop
