seeds into germany via customs

Normally they would seize the seeds of course...
Hope that there won´t be any probems in future; would be awfull if they would come in some days and say "we know exactly what was inside, and you accepted the sending...".
But i (and i think must of us) don´t know exactly how these things work in german law. I don´t suppose there are special laws for exactly that situation; at least i didn´t found them yet...
In my view it would be theoretically logic, that you can´t be hold responsible for a sending that u got, regardless of what is inside^^

To be exact it was a normal post jiffy envelope and inside was an office envelope with 4 sheets of A4 paper 40seeds stapled in little bag top corner an folded 2 times i wrote pinapple haze on the inner smaller office envelope
just normal office address on outer envelope.A

you´re really lucky they did not keep the seeds. Seems they did not have a clue what it was.
Savest way to send seeds ist via postal storage. You need no adress, no "reallife" name...
Pinaple Haze sounds nice, i´d love to get my hands on those...

it may have been the pineapple that threw them off they may have just thought to be pineapple seed

perhaps the best way to send them is in seed envelopes labelled as a different species, many other plants and flowers have somewhat similar looking seed
buy a seed packet for a legal species, take the seed out and replace with your seeds
hemp seeds are in bird feed, in countries like the USA so im thinking perhaps get millet and and put seeds in it and send it as a labelled as wild bird feed

Thx for the heads up Andyo! Cannabis seeds are illegal in Germany so the recipient of these seeds can consider himself lucky the customs wouldnt pay him a visit. There have been numerous busts and raids due to cannabis seeds in Germany already.
In case of drug shipments It is possible that they let the package go through and then pay the recipient a visit. When he opens the package and doesnt report it to the police he would be in some trouble.
But I guess they wouldnt put a big stamp on the package if they wanted to do that. They propably simply didnt realize what it was.
Its weird though that it happened at all, there is seed vendors from NL (which is a HOT country for customs) sending to Germany all the time and I never heard of any problems.
In case of drug shipments It is possible that they let the package go through and then pay the recipient a visit. When he opens the package and doesnt report it to the police he would be in some trouble.

are you sure they were opened? or do you just think because the green sticker?
i heard quite often that people had the green sticker on their seed envelopes but never anything happened..
i think they have lots of envelopes, check them for explosives and maybe xray them and if they don't get any alarm or something you get the sticker and that was it..
i also think, if they wanted to bust you some days later, they would'nt have put the sticker on... i personally don't know any case where they delivered seeds and later busted the receiver.. and a lot of cases with green sticker and no problems at all...
or they opened it to see if money or something valuable is in there, that's the main thing customs look for. they found some seeds and didn't think further... or really thought it was pinapple seeds
btw: you may have a kilo of seeds without getting any problems, but not a "countable amount". they are only forbidden if you "want to plant them illegally". and small packages for high prices you usually don't eat...
