Seedlings showing signs of distress?

Not sure but noticed browning on the tips of the lower leaves last night, along with the nice green color fading away.

2 things that i did within the last 2 days that are possible causes:
1- moved into new vegging area with 3x 65 watt cfls
2- tried using a (spa) ph down to bring the levels down

Not sure what the white stuff on the leaves is but its been there since i sprayed water on the leaves.

I also use a little superthrive in my water.

here the pics... have a go at it experts.

These are from today:

from yesterday:( seem healthier)

Dude - you used spa/pool pH down to lower your water's pH? Wow... gotta be the first time I've ever seen someone do that.

Lemme ask ya this before we even bother to guess what's wrong with your clones: If you take a glass of water, and using your 'spa' pH down add it to the water so its pH is around 6.... would you drink it?

I dont think your plants want to either....

Use vinegar....and do yourself a favor - READ READ READ!

hehe, that white shit is probably salts from the ph down that the plants spat out through her pores....i saw this once when my father waterd my plants with diluted salty water (NaCl+H2O)...they died ofcourse..couldn't save them
can also be lime from the water that u sprayed on

i suggest you pour at least 1 L of pure water(distilled if you have some) over each of those girl and throw that shit away....and do it quick

u can use some high N nute to bring down the pH, but if so use it very gently 1/4 strenght...but first u gotta flush that pool shit out then wait...and then see what to do next...don't rush into things like u did with the pool thing :)

good luck

damn i knew it was a bad idea.. i tested it out on another plant to see if it was safe and nothing happend... so i put it on my plants... 1 day later that other plant fell over and died.... time to try to recover my babies... ima return that pool ph shit... i was a lil buzzy when i did that shit.

*punches self in the face* :bashhead:
Ive been giving them tap water and a few drops of superthrive per gallon since.
You guys think they will survive..?

This is what the worst and biggest one looks like.

guessing the stem is supposed to be purple? i hope..

would it help if i went out and got a few gallons of distilled water and just water with that for the next few days? I tried to test the ph of my water at home but my meter has gone wack after sticking it into spa ph down water =(

on the good side the tops are still doing well and showing new growths on 3 out of 5 plants.

Vinegar isn't very stable - the pH will change - a-LOT. (same with lemon/citrus juice)

Aquarium supply stores can hook you up.

Spa pH down should be Phosphoric acid - chemically the same as the fish store, just way stronger and less pure - more possible salts and foreign ingredients.

babies are more sensitive - less is almost always better till they get up and cranking.
