ah ok, thanks, its been awhile, just wanted to make sure, found the seeds outside from a nice sticky purple plant. found one plant that smelled very fruity too,
No, cotyldons yellowing this early is far from being normal.... your plants is using up food much quicker than it should. Your soil mixture you have is either too wet, too hot or the pH is in correct....... you better get it out of that mixture otherwise those green leaves will yellow just like those cotyldons will.
How big is a container is this in? How often are you watering? what kind of mixture is this seedling in?
You don't want to keep the soil too wet, sounds like this is your problem..... soil should stay moist not saturated or overly wet.
So if I were you, put a fan on the little thing, not overly strong but something to try to get the moisture out of it so the root can grow... right now that root is tiny and is most likely no more than 1 1/2 in long...... when they are wet like that with there size they won't grow much and stay small and when this happens they get stunted and you start to see the cotyledons yellow up.
