Seedling Vs Vegetation

Just a quick question about vegetation.....when do you know that your plant has moved from seedling stage to veg?...I'm following a nute schedule but it is based on cuttings as opposed to seeds.
Cheers Guys!

My first feeding is when seedlings form there first true leaves not cotyledons. I use about 75 ppm nitrogen (part of a complete fert). This is super weak. Then, I increase feeding to 100 ppm nitrogen (part of a complete fert) with every watering if I am in a hurry or only once a week. Usually this seedling stage lasts about 3 weeks. Then, I may boost the plants with more fertilizer from here on out using 150 ppm nitrogen(part of a complete fert).

It is also been considered that seedlings don't need anything for about the first 2 weeks.

Others say when the cotyledons start to fade and brown.

I start seedlings in spent FFOF and water with liquid kelp and molasses. After about two weeks I start them on a guano tea with some Alaska fish added.

Now, take my advice with a bong hit as I am still trying to dial in the method. With that said, in the beginning of my hobby, I kept killing everything that sprouted- to much water/over feret/underwater and overfert. Shitty soil (hyponex-buahahahaha the shits not worth putting in my flower garden) then I went to Supersoil-too hot for seedlings.

I used Kelloggs organic soil-that may heve been ok had it not been for the overfert of alaska fish and ej bloom.

Ferts are a funny thing- the want to give yoru babies more does more harm then good.

An over watered plant takes days to dry out and start to grow vigorously again.

But I am stoned of this reallly good Afghani I just grew and my buds are getting better each grow.

When it gets a few leaves. Or as per above after a couple of weeks but note that they are still burnable at that tender stage.

Just like everyone above said. Good advice.
You'll def. know when they start veggin cause they will all of a sudden just start growing a lot faster than you normally notice. I usually wait to feed till the first true leaves start yellowing. Just go light on the nutes and adjust from there. Peace and *bong* :friends:
